Anyway, So stuff like Doom3 and Simcity4 and Crysis, Supreme Commander isn't going to work with Ubuntu?
not without emulation. it's a damn shame, but you're best option to optimize your hardware, and still run all of your games, is to go to Windows XP. id recommend XP PRO, but Home might be sufficient. if you want to find a cheaper copy of XP, you can try PriceWatch.com, i seem to find a lot of good deals there
hey buddhav10, what wb is that, very nice!!!
thanks, i love it, JJ Ying's Ecliz 2 theme, very nice with a dark theme
where can we find this wallpaper ? (the sheep)
https://www.wincustomize.com/skins.aspx?skinid=29035&libid=8 it's done by ez3d, and is rated entirely too low, i love it because it's just odd, and it jumps out at you
your biggest problem was you got the 8600 man ..it a piece of SHIT and im not gonna edit it = P
umm..no.the 8600 is still one of the top cards out,(one of) and will run almost everything you throw at it just fine in vista OR XP. i had a couple SLI'd for a lil while... but now, i've basically got em sitting in a box, because these shiny new 640MB 8800's are takin good care of me. i used the 8600s for about 2 months, then got a nic
I agree wholeheartedly. In my household, there are three desktops and 5 laptops that i would deem "Vista Capable" (not that microsoft sticker, either) I tried to take advantage of the deal, and it was over. of those machines, all the desktops and 4 of the laptops' owners want vista, but seeing how im the techie, it's my fault that they cant get it cheap. me, i say screw vista until i absolutely have to update, and quite frankly, XP MCE is fine with me. what am i gonna update to? Home Premium, and
All righty, i dont know how many people own a PSP, but as of the firmware update to 3.71, and a few less than simple methods before that, themes are available on your PSP. they are "relatively" easy, and there's one program that compiles them after completion after the wallpaper, icons and subicons have been created. if anyone's interested, the requirments are fairly simple. the wallpaper HAS to be the PSP's max resolution, 480x272, and the icons are all 64x48. since i wussed o
To be honest that's about as civil as i could be & that don't happen very often *mutley laugh* ,my comment on hard on the eyes is more of an over exageration the point i did'nt make clear was xp's themes including the new colour of the zune theme still make it very limited to the amount of matchmaking that can be done with colours of taskbar & the wallpapers, one of the things i like (there are many more) that wb does is not having "START" written on that button..l

No customization is just plain gaye looking at the original xp themes is like putting battery acid in my eyes it just plain hurts, even the most basic function like the roll up thingy would be terribly missed i appreciate your input. i also appreciate it when you keep it civil. calling XP's default themes, whatever color, hard on
I noticed that the skins I keep using the most is not the elegant and colourful ones, but rather the simple and professional ones. Just shows you how I think ... that's what i did, only i used some transparent too. also, i just realized that besides beelzebub, i only liked Royale, which i just realized is basically energy blue i think that when i was gaming, i had to b
i know i mispelled. darn, i hate doing that.
I have a tremendous amount of respect for the skinning community. I love windowblinds, iconpackager, objectdock,(LOVE THE WEATHER DOCK) and logonstudio. the rest of the apps, especially DX, seem interesting, but not really my thing. no, this is not a "OMG i looove you guys!" post. it's actually a (slightly) negative one. i recently got rid of my gaming rig,and purchased a solid, business-class notebook. i love it, because all of my computer time is devoted to web-based activity, and i a
hehe...my phone is an oldie, but a goodie: (LG AX490a) it makes car noises! vrroomm Vrroomm! screw mp3 phones, my zune is far too precious... besides, is it really that big of a hassle to carry an MP3 Player for tunes? wouldn't it suck to have your battery die in your cell phone because you were watching a movie???
well that figures. an apple product that's actually worth the price tag, and it'll be a pain to get. meh.
this thread is very interesting
Po' Smedly; SkinHit; RomanDA. It don't get much wierder than that.
sweet. since i unfortunatley have to make the move to ultimate, it' nice to know that most of the wonderful lil stardock apps will follow.
ubuntu is just fine, for *some* people. me, i use it on a couple boxes. but, for my lack of money, nothing tops Mandriva. btw, for all you skinners, if you get a free moment, check out the live version of looking glass linux. it's absolutley gorgeous. freakboysystem, a lot more versions than ubuntu run off of the cd.
i use myspace to keep in contact with friends and family far away, but i have noticed several "annoying" features. Everytime i go, some annoying lil piece of spyware, some stupid ad, some dumb comment makes me wonder whether or not to leave. It's not so bad, just a little irksome that the world's leading social site can't effectively maintain their own site, technical errors are embarrasingly common.i can't post
The forums are for the skinning community to discuss skinning. amongst other things... (but the lizard stays. ya don't dis the lizard...)
srry bout that

Avast Home is great, and i've used it for years, but now, i purchase pro. not so much for the features, which are nice, for the fact that i wanna support them. spybot and adaware are great for spyware, spysweeper, heck yea, ccleaner is good, but XPTools is better, and JV power tools are solid, too. norton's never been on my current machine, except for ghost. isnt it sad that their extras are better than their main programs? ghost and speedisk are cool.
