I've spent the last 30 minutes reading this thread about why people pirate, stuff about Impulse, IE7 and why they pirate over buying the game. So, here is my comment on the issues ..... 1. I too, installed the beta of Windows 7 on my test system. The install went good. After the install only had 1 major issue. The Blue ray wasn't working. So, I had to reboot press F8 and turn off "forced drivers signed" After that the blue ray drivers loaded and I was up and running. I been using it for a few hours now and the overall feel is "OK"
DRM will be around for a few more years. Big companies have too much over head in the corporate layout. The bigger the company the slower it takes to change. I've been playing the new Red Alert 3 game on my other system. I had to add a extra fan to the system. The game put a big load on the graphics card. Before adding the extra fan the game would crush the game. I found out my ATI graphics card was getting too hot and caused the crash. I have sins on that system too. The card get hot, but doesn't crash. Now the crash is resolved, most likely your system needs better air flow.<
Shrike7, Is the video card new? or been purchased in the last 9 months or so. Nvidia had issues with bumps on some of their video chips and chipsets .. Basically when the chip gets too hot ... the material get soft and connecting crack and cause BSOD and other issues ... If it is, RMA the card and get a new one. I've played Entrenchment and it needs tweeks and balancing to improve the overall feel of the addon .. March .. sounds like a good time frame.

You might even think about adding a blueray drive too. The Stargate Universe series will replace the void left by Stargate Atlantis. The stargate series is very popular and I hope they don't mess it up like they did with the Star Trek series ... Torgamous Neat concept, but unfortunately what you end up with is the worst of two worlds. You have people complaining about digital distribution based on the fear that the company server might one day go down, This would only be done during the install phase. MS Vista is " OK " ... I just purchased a new laptop and it's running fine. I'm still running 3 WinXP and a Gentoo system on my little home network. Right now I'm in the process of adding HP WHS to my small net. In my opinion MS Vista is designed for new hardware and you should never select the min. for hardware specs.
