I want to assume on this one that it's me just being an idiot and doing something wrong here, otherwise this would be too major of a bug to have slipped by unnoticed. I'm playing through my first map (large multi) as the Advent, and I can't get the homing mines to work! I research the tech, build the homing mine instead of a fighter or bomber (I've done this both from a hanger and an aerie drone)....once the homing mine is built, I select the homing mine, then I click the deploy mines button

I'm all for expanding the available Ship classes. What I've felt is that Sins is most lacking in the VARIETY of ship types. That's why I loved Galactic Civ II so much, the endleess customization of the ship types. Being locked into the handful that Sins offers does feel limiting, and not as natural as the custom ship type progression that the tech tree of Gal Civ II offered. Any additional variety would be welcome in my book...

I've gotta agree with Uneb on his comment... I've been playing through a short campaign, on normal difficulty. Everything about what Uneb is saying lines up with what I'm seeing in the game as well. Piecemeal attacks by siege ships, and no buildup of defenses on enemy worlds, save the pirate base. I finally pushed all the across the starsystem to the enemy's core worlds, and they have nothing but a gauss gun or two, a couple mines..?? Struck me as kind of odd, I was just hoping the A
