Got an answer from support, for some reason my order was only shipped on the 1st of september (Why 9 days after launch? Not quite sure why on that one...) Although I never got an email confirming said shipment... Was told it'd take 1-3 weeks and that there was no tracking number =/. Oh well, at least they did reply fast to me. G.

Randomization vs. Richness. As was mentionned before by others I would like to have BOTH of the hand crafted maps AND the random generated ones, why? Well, the hand crafted map can provide you with truly unique tactics and challenge, they tend to be memorable if done well. But on the other hand after a long while and many playthrough they -hurt- replayability in the long run. It's fun to see something new.

Just a quick take on my part. I'm not going to give tons of reasons but I wanted to add that I mostly agree with Ralf. I love numbers, I play strategy games, I play sim games (Think of Out of the Park Baseball, East Side Hockey Manager), I play RPGs and in each of em numbers play a big part of the fun for me. By the way.. Starcraft was also more than was mentioned... People seem to forget ease of Multiplayer on Battle.net , the ladders, the excellent map editor. These tools allowed the game to have the longevity it is enjoying. Another factor in its success would be the graphics, while back then they may not have been the most advanced graphics ever, they allowed almost everyone to run the game and served their purpose very well..
