Comebacks are only possible when the rest of your team is still trying. People give up WAY too often.
So true, so true. What those giving up fail to realize is that the winning side can tend to relax and get over-confident, which makes hanging in there all the more important.
Man made religion...
As if there is another kind?
That being said, there still is a remnant out there who are faithfully preaching the truth.
If you are being preached to, especially in a group, about things that have to be taken on faith and how you should live your life; well, I hate to break it to you, but that IS religion. The 7 day week is simply the best estimate of time between the major moon phases. (New->Half->Full->Half->New) It is a quarter of a lunar month; some might consider it a lunar "season". To say 10 would be more "natural" would be to suggest it would've been more "natural" for humanity to start with metric. To say 12 would be more "natural" ignores the fact that twelve is appropriate for dividing a year because it is almost the 13 lunar months, but lets each season be an equ

SoaSE might have made my list had it fulfilled my hopes of giving me a new Pax Imperia; plus, like Pax Imperia, I consider SoaSE more of a hybrid between RTS and 4x.
I only play TA occasionally because its still cool and hilarious to play on a lan with friends who don't have gaming computers.
I haven't tried it recently, but I know just a couple years back you could still bring a new computer to its knees with TA; all you had to do was build nothing but Peewees.
[Dawn of War] also had a very low camera...
Wow, I can't believe people actually list that as a benefit? Not that I minded DoW, quite liked it actually; but play Supreme Commander (or heck, even Homeworld) for any length of time and you'll have a hard time saying that again. Ok, first we had every update forcing us to redownload all the intro biks after we renamed them to skip, so they gave us /skipintro. Now, I have a new nit. I like to have my start menu organized a certain way. I move my "little" apps (like Notepad++, MPC, etc) into the Accessories folder or a subfolder under that. I move my security apps and utils to System Tools, which I keep under the main start menu. And I move my games to a Games folder under the start menu; but every time a get a

Did you happen to change the video card or monitor recently, or move the game save directory between machines? I know when I move my Game.prefs file between my laptop and desktop I have to change the default resolution and refresh as my laptop has a higher resolution and the two displays have incompatible refresh rates.
I wish that the Red Ring of Death on my 360 would go away so I can play again.
Wish granted, but your 360 gains skynet level intelligence in the process, spreads itself onto the internet infecting every system. It then proceeds to create an ingrained hunger for intergalatic dominance in the human race.

You are at a party, some guy who says he is funding an FTL-drive research project says one of the unintended products of the research was a fitness pill. You don't believe him and take the pill to spite him before he can stop you. Within moments, all the excess fat exits your body through every pore and oriface...in front of all the party guests. You spend the next couple years in the hospital recuperating developing a close friendship with a guy with a compulsion to play forum games. <p

So does the brain know the deaths of the heart-patients will save the 20 people needing kidney transplants, but not know if the kidney patients would be saved anyway without the death of the heart patients? Also, I am not quite sure if an "unjust war free of war crimes" isn't an oxymoron. In the end, the choice the brain makes doesn't really matter as the "demon" mentioned renders the brain's decision moot. It would be like holding the brain responsible for the result of a coi
Gunship 2000, 1991 played on the first computer I bought for $1200 which if I recall was a 386dx-33mhz.. with 128MB RAM.. it had a "turbo" button too which I think kicked it into 40mhz.. lol
I am pretty sure you are drastically misremembering exactly how little RAM those machines had. We had a 486SX that was 33mhz in "Turbo" mode (which was ironically too fast for some games), and it only had 4MB RAM, upgradable to 8MB.
