@ riddleking its not about picking one issue and saying this is the fix all. The advent and the vasari as a whole need to be fixed in many small ways to deal with this matchup. anyways, its just a riddleking response.
The truth is the armor upgrades at tier 6 & 7 are the key to the late game. People still haven't made there minds up about what they really want. Is it a stronger economy? Stronger Synergy? Stronger Ships? even more Phase Missile Block? lol Anyway the funny part is the words "late game" lol.. its only proven on paper and has never been proven with a replay. How bombers suddenly showered by fleets of defense vessels, fighters and a good halcyon push micro tend to survive has me at a disa
Just play tec rebels and make sure you end the game quickly. Once you have mastered the game then you can play vasari loyalists. Advent is reserved for those who have a nac to pull off some stupendous win with overwhelming odds. You my friend are not there yet.

I think... Wail is in the same boat as jumping orkies: They were meant for the Single player Ai games, not MP.
Advent: 1.Cap + Corvettes (if you want to start with 1 cap then pick the mother ship.. for a second cap for the rebels then pick a discord. for loyalist pick a rapture) 2.then desciples or defense vessels, (depends on whether the enemy builds lrm or flak so scout him) If he builds both then pick defense vessels alone. Vs the ai just defense vessels microed will kill everything which is usually my choice) 3.then illums and micro them along w

phase missiles do not bypass by chance and i say this out of my superior(not really but since you hinted it) qualilative way of understanding. 30% chance is too low while 30% drop in shield mitigation is the right calculations and its what phase missiles do. I call for all the devs to prove this is wrong?
They do not reduce mitigation percentage directly. They provide a % chance on each attack to ignore both shield and shield mitigation entirely. 30% phase missile bypass does not reduce shield mitigation by 30%. 30% phase missile Bypass gives phase missiles a 30% chance on each attack of ignoring shield mitigation entirely and being dealt directly to hull. The other 70% of the time phase missiles be
Now suppose a ship has 75% max shield mitigation. Once shields are down, phase missiles nolonger are bypassing and as a result the full raw damage is affected by shield mitigation. So basically 25% of raw damage is being dealt directly to hull. Note the rate at which hull is being damaged is 20% higher(25%->30% of raw damage) when shields are still up. So For any ship with more then 70% max shield

Some people in this forum know the advent are weak but make it there career to make sure they stay that way esp when they start loosing to them. This is just the beginning of the end for those people. Its going to get really interesting with each and every patch.
And frankly in general Phase missiles do do more damage over time as their tech uprades improve DPS more.
For starbases, titans and bombers to be accurate. I just don't think assailants should be the centre topic of phase missles. one thing i'd like to say is phase missile are more potent for sniping stationary and slow moving targets whilts beams are designed for fast targets.
