Hello, Doc! First, major props for learning all this DX stuff, and congrats on your acheivements thus far! [e digicons][/e]
(huh, what the heck, why would they put that there.....how does that work...????)
Sounds pretty much like my learning experience. [e digicons][/e] It can be maddening to get the hang of it. Welcome to the club. [e digicons]:)[/e] As for the analog clock, I see what you're saying,

That is so cool! [e digicons]B)[/e] A very clean layout with nice details to look at without it being too busy. Great work! [e digicons][/e]

Sounds like you're on the right track with using rectangles (masks) for the pages. If you're talking about THIS timer for mouse over/away issues, it won't keep the parent object from playing the mouse away animation unless the animation is scripted. I'd recommend scripting the animation, instead of using the presets in the animation tab. HERE is a tutorial by RomanDA which explain

Ah, the old mouseover child = mouseaway from parent problem. H ere's another solution brought to you by Tiggz:
What you can do is to make the mouseleave event start a timer, and a mouseover event for any of the children kills the timer - if the timer fires, it does the relevant hiding then kills itself. This serves the dual purpose of providing a delay for the hiding to allow for accidental slips of the mouse. [/quot

This looks like the start of something great! I like the color combination and once you add in the textures it'll really pop. Can't wait to see the final product.[e digicons]B)[/e] [e digicons][/e]

Bunch of stuff done, then I took a break. The icon menu at the bottom now supports drag and drop as well as the ability to create different menu sets. Been trying to nail down the look of pop up menus and with a little googling, I came up mircoscope slides:
With DesktopX, you do everything - location, behaviour, graphics!
That's exactly what I like about it. You're not just changing the look you're changing the way your desktop works. It's always a challenge to find new and different ways to change desktop behavior, but I enjoy playing around and exploring for the most part. Don't forget to add your idea to the DX 4.x thread so Zubaz can keep track of it. [e digicons][/e]
It would be also nice if Z-order would be accessible through scripts.
That's it! That's what I wanted to request but forgot about. Being able to control z-order would be awesome.[e digicons][/e] Another idea I had was to have checkboxes in the object navigator to make it easier to select specific objects, instead of doing ctrl+click or ctrl+unclick.
