aspa, Start with Notepad. Paste in the embed code. Save as an htm file ("nba.htm" or whatever). Open DX and create the activeX Web Browser object. In the summary tab click on custom files. Click add to browse for and add the htm file you just created. Put this script into the object: 'Called when the script is executed Sub Object_OnScriptEnter On Error Resume Next Set fso = CreateObject("Scripting.FileSystemObject

Tsk, tsk, Zubaz, are we forgetting about a little widget we made not too long ago? ;) ZOOMCAM is a very good example widget of the 'easy way' (and don't let Zu tell you any different!).

This is a very nice list for 2007. I'm gonna try and check each of them out over the rest of the week. BTW: PuterDudeJim's Harmony DX 2 is not in the DX Themes list? I'm sure I nominated it.

I was a Citizen, and I believe I was working on my 2nd DX theme, Clear Agenda. At the time I kinda thought that themes would be my thing, seeing as how the first one did better than I could've imagined. Figured I'd just keep turning them out. I remember seeing alot of Vista-esque themes in the gallery at the time which did phenomenally well, and kinda thought maybe that's what I should be doing, too. It made me take a step back and look at what I was doing with my theme. It was very, very,
Aw, heck, I'll take a #1. :)

We only have until tomorrow?! :SURPRISED: What's the hurry; can't we have till the end of the week?
I don't blog, probably, never will. I've read a few blogs, but none consitently. I agree, that they provide a unique alternative viewpoint or a dissenting voice. Lantec is right; it is much like that quote about opinions. While a great deal of blogging might be ranting there are unique voices amidst the noise. It's got the good, bad, and ugly. It's just another outlet for expression, like Youtube etc. Sure there are alot of sad idiots goofing off on there but such is life, and such is
:CONGRAT: :CONGRAT: :CONGRAT: :CONGRAT: CONGRATULATIONS EVERYONE and especially to my friend SirSmiley. :) You ALL deserve it. Rock on!
Great selections! :CONGRAT:
Thanks Quentin! :CONGRAT: It never occured to me to use percentages in object width. I also never attempted to fiddle with the 'Adjust Position depending on screen resolution' settings in the Relation tab. This helps alot!
I'm all for a tutorial on how to make a theme resolution independant. :CONGRAT: I don't have much experience with it myself; I've only made 2 themes so far. Whoever is working on it...it would be much appreciated if you could add it to the Wiki as well.
Hehehe. Very, funny. Too cool, SirS. I was having some trouble setting the correct folder location OnDrop because the target was originally set to one of the preset folders. After I browsed for and set it to a different location it worked perfectly. This script is a keeper!
It rocks how the DX (sub) community shares knowledge.
Agreed! I learn something new everyday. Gotta love this place. <img src="smiles/Smile.gif" bor
you might want to add a line under the Left Click Function
Perfect! Thanks SirS.
Great post. Other than watching Teddybearcholla's work I usually only hang around the DX galleries. I get stuck in forum shorthand, too, but I would like to expand my comments into something more meaningful. Mostly, I think I just need to pause, ruminate over the skin, and take the time to express myself. Like you said, comments (good or constructive) can be more treasured than high ratings. It shows someone not only liked your work enough to download and use it, but also felt strongly

Alrighty, this was pieced together from some of scripts I've saved. This goes into the one object. It will take one file or folder. If it's a file it'll open it on l-click. If it's a folder it will show a pop-up menu on l-click.
Dim fso, fname(), fpath() 'Called when the script is executed Sub Object_OnScriptEnter Set fso = CreateObject("Scripting.FileSystemObject") End Sub 'Called when the script is terminated Sub Object_OnS
I think you'd have to create your own r-click menu listing the contents of the target folder. The basic concept is to drag and drop a folder, get the contents of the folder, put them in an array, and use the array to build a custom r-click menu. I was working on something similar, and I think with a little tweaking it could be achieved.
Wishing you all the best and I hope everything goes well for you and your family in this difficult time.
BoXXi, that is wicked cool! (Just how many projects have you got going at one time?!) Parts of my unnamed DXtheme so far: The white part of the start menu is supposed to be a navigator; shortcuts to usual folders along the left side, contents appear in the window when clicked. The side with the calendar is where the usual extra widgets are supposed to go (media, we
