I played MoM for a few weeks earlier this summer. It's as good as ever -- almost more fun than Civ4 even though Civ4 is so much better designed and balanced. It's just so much fun to summon a Fire Elemental to fight those halfling slingers. I really wish Hasbro had sold you the license (even though 80% of the stuff in MoM is cribbed from Magic and D&D).

From reading your post before, I got the impression that to install Hyperdesk you had to 1) install it 2) go find mxstylethemes.dll, delete it, and copy over a new one. That seemed bad. If "patched in memory" means all you have to do is run Hyperdesk and click on a popup that says, "warning you are modifying a system file" one time, that wouldn't be a big deal to me. No, I am not saying this from a sysadmin's perspective, just my own.

Brad, this is the first time I've seen you talk about your "business" business. It's interesting. I've heard the advice given "Never go into a business where there are substantial nonbusiness reasons for people to enter the business," like bookstores. That would seem to apply to designing games like Galactic Civilizations. So I would expect you to make more money as an entrepreneur in an area like skinning that's not naturally fun and requires focusing on execution.</p
