Yes, if you accept blood there will be consequences, but you'll not be aware of these if you're dead. The consequences are perfectly clear. If that is enforced upon a child by the parents then these parents should be charged with murder. Because that is what it is. <TABLE cellpadding=8 width="95%" align=center bgColor=#FFF394 class="mb-Body-Q

"What is "fascism" ? It's simply socialism where the State controls private industry rather than takes it over (like in communism)..." You are starting to cover dangerous grounds here. I think you know that. And like Anthony, you both love it.

"My objective was not to overtly or surreptitiously compare the EU today with the Thousand Year Reich." ... But you did. And you continue to do so. You don't even apologize. "Oh no… A French guy blew up on me for the UN Blog, now the Dutch are scolding me. :(" I love that sarcasm. My kind of humor. But too obvious.

The problem is that you don't really have a clue what the word "Reich" feels like for Europeans. You don't have any clue either that in Germany there are several whole new generations. Most of them are probably ashamed for the actions of their country in the past. But, you are allowed to use that term, because you have "vaild arguments" in the rest of the discussion? Being provocative can be fun, Anthony. But you should not step over the line. You certainly did do that.

Whenever you want to discuss global politics then use arguments, ventilate your opinions, make your statements. Whatever. But remember that when you compare Europe to the Third Reich then you went too far. If you call Europe the Fourth Reich then you implicate Europeans are facists. Don't be surprised if it would lift at least an eyebrow. And if you are going to argue that you can indeed compare modern day Europe to a former facist state then you don't know what you are talking about.

"In defense of the "Fourth Reich" label for the EU, the following explains why it's not just a gratuitous insult, but is a justified description: ..." Remember that Fourth Reich means that you think Europeans are facists! You cannot argue that you do not intend that. To me it is an insult. Comparing Europe to the Third Reich is uncalled for. What do you want? You want me to prove I am not a Nazi? Or do you want me to prove patriotism is the American variant of facism?

Bumping a thread means bringing it to everyone's attention again, because it will show up on top of the thread list. If Stumpy knew the answer, he would help. Instead he bumped your thread. A poor man's help, but very nice of him to do. Maybe you already knew all this. Just a clarification. [Message Edited]

Wow. Something weird happened to me just now. On JoeUser I wrote an article about the latest development in quantum computing. To my surprise a guy responded who had no profile, but was able to post (didn't know that was allowed, but OK). Instead of starting a discussion he started throwing random bible text. He even gave it a subject: "THE ONENESS EXPLAINED". This is a quote from his text: <TABLE cellpadding=8 width="95%" align=center bgColor=#FFF394 class="mb-Body-Quote-Table
