I have a suggestion. Maybe it is a DirectShow filter you installed. ObjectMedia may use that same filter. If you play your video using ObjectMedia (please download the latest version from SDC) and OM is using 100% CPU time too then chances are that it is caused by that filter. The next step would be to try to find out how to uninstall the filter. Let me know what happens. I might be able to help you
