I read the article that you posted a link to, I downloaded the program called InstalledCodec and it shows that my Microsoft MPEG-2 Video Encoder for Windows 7 is Not Disabled and the installed codec date is 7/14/2009 1:53:38 AM and the last modified time is - 11/21/2010 12:25:14 AM... 2 years ago, so it's not a recent change to my MPEG-2 Codec. I am able to run Dream Files, I am able to download and run all the .dream files with no problem, but when I create a

I was having this problem since last weekend, I updated my Codecs this morning with K-Lite full install for 64 bit and I also re-set and deleted my old settings during this time. I have 0 problems with any of my videos running as a mpg or as a wmv, but once I use the dream maker the videos crash the Deskscapes program even though those very same files work just fine as a mpeg or wmv and can be applied using the Deskscapes program with no issues. </p
And now... it's (my karma) is back again???! Strange, very strange. [e digicons]>_>[/e]
It's funny but when I posted this question I had 14 Karma... now I have none? Does that mean I'm dead? I am still having problems with creating dreams... my videos all work as Dreams, but when I use the Dream making tool they don't work... is there an update I am unaware of?
I've been creating videos for sometime now and every once in awhile I get a video that won't work after I've created into the Dream Format. I could create two dreams the same way and one will work and the other will not... am I missing something? Just today I created a new FracTal the same way I created one day before, the one I've been waiting to post up does not work after I change the format to the Dream format. Both of the Fractals were c
Run Advanced System Care the free version should fix your problems.

I've been here for quite some time myself... and I have no Karma... mine up and left 2 years ago when I, at the time didn't need any pills for anything... two years later, I've got Rheumatoid Arthritis, Fibromyalgia, and Osteoporosis and am taking a bunch of meds day and night.... some of the stupid things make me grumpy... I know that sounds hard to believe... me grumpy, but hey I'm still kickin and who needs karma when you got Lyrica or any other of the fine meds I get!
I'm still here, but.... I don't see the since or point in trying to help out fellow users if other users want to make others look bad, or make their answers seem out of the ball park. I won't go into details, but I'm sure they will read my statement here... and perhaps they may even leave me a note to this... who knows... ? I personally have been creating dreams since this I first found this site, I used to have a lot of my dreams posted on the Wincustomize site which I re
I'm so happy I could just sit and have a Pied Piper for lunch with some buns! I'm tellin ya... I ain't got no freakin french fries! Oh my [e digicons]O:)[/e]
What's really kewl is the way you can stretch one video across two screens, I like the World Flag, Old World Flag, and most of all any of the Space dreams... all are Very Kewl! It's neat how you can run different dreams on each screen as well... Since I ran the batch file that was sent to me, which reset deskscapes so I had to enter my Key, I also re-installed Impulse and only once since I installed it have I had any kind of a problem, and that was only because I h
After having a couple of my purchased dreams not working I contacted support at stardock and they gave me two different things to try. 1 - was to run a batch file that reset my dreams and deskscape, and 2 - was they had me re-install Impulse. I believe it was when I re-installed Impulse that things seemed to start working... in the process I also downloaded Deskscape 3.1 and Voila it worked! I am now able to have dynamic different dreams on my monitors. I was ha
Have you tried browsing to your folders that contain your dreams? You may have to "Add" the folder to your Deskscape program.
I'd like to see deskscape 3.2 work on my Vista Ultimate computer. That would be nice.
It's a real shame about version 3 not working on my computer, there are lots of really kewl things added to version 3 you can do to your dreams. It's only when I have version 3 installed that my computer Reboots out of the blue... I forgot to mention, I am running Vista Ultimate on 32 Bit foundation... because I have some older software that won't run in 64 bit, so don't ask. I've not been leaving tips or anything else here because I seem to always get so
Didn't seem like anyone was going to give you any suggestions, so pardon me for making one. Personally I've been using the Vista Codec pack and have had no il effects.
I lost a sister (she was 48) over the Christmas Holidays who had a heart attack 10 months previous and her body rejected her new heart she received in October 2009, Tami made it until the Sunday before Christmas, my mother just finished Kemo in Jan. 2010, I've been out of work for 2 years due to health issues... I believe my Karma got up and left with-out me. Up until 2 years ago, I took an Advil once in a blue moon, now I'm up to 5 or 6 different kinds everyday twice a day.
Have you tried updating your Codecs? I only mention this because I was having some problems with some dreams but not others, soon as I installed the Vista Codec pack everything went back to normal. I am still however unable to install the latest version of Deskscapes because when I do my computer just Reboots with-out any warning, so I just rolled back to the previous version and I have Zero issues with the older version. There are a lot of really kewl things y
No3rdseat... r u looking for an argument? If you'd like one you will certainly get one from me. I've installed the ALPHA version of this software a couple of times... I have 0 Probelems with my computer if I do NOT have this Alpha version installed, but my computer will FREEZE totally if I install this Alpha version of DESKCAPES! What part of that do you not understand? This is a software issue, not a hardware issue, some programmers just don't like having issu
I won't worry about an Alpha/Beta software issue either... if the bugs don't bother you why should they bother me, it's not like I will be using it anyway.
That's great, I'm Happy for you. Kewl. We won't bother you again. Like I said I used to love coming to this site. Used to. Good bye.
Bla bla bla... I'm not even going to go there. I've been working with computer since 1984 (bought my first in 1982) in the Dos world, I know software, I know programers. Software issues can go a long long way. Beta Alpha who know's who cares... I was just putting in my two cents worth, if you are trying to argue about an issue with Beta/Alpha ware bla bla bla to the programer. You want people to work with your beta program but you don't want to know the issues the end
BTW Since I removed the Beta from my system last week I've had no problems. None. Nada. What was happening was after I installed the Beta version, when I'd go to click on something that's when it would freeze or reboot. I'm just taking a shot in the dark here but are you a programmer on this beta version? So again, I've had no issues since I removed the beta or should I say Alpha version of ver 3. I've not rebooted since 207.36 hours ago or
- Neil Banfield, I am sorry you have had problems, but it sounds like the issues you have encountered are hardware specific issues. <span sty
