Elemental Beta until the most recent update (waiting for the next update as it is currrently unusable) Fall from Heaven 2 mod (Civ 4) Sins Demigod until my computer had an argument with it.

Since my Elemental beta is currently unplayable (bug posted in beta forum), I've been having another go at Fall from Heaven 2 for a few days. It is simply the best mod I have ever played, and I seriously recommend it to any Civ4 players who haven't tried it yet. Here are the things I think it definitely gets right. 1. Radically different Civs Usually the difference between civs is say extra 10% research, slightly better soldiers
This did not occur before beta 1D It is the same for all menus and toolbars. At some point (usually before I can start a game) I get a runtime error and a CTD. Debug attached.

The point is that despite Demigod being a MP-orientated game, less than half (can't remember exactly how many) of players have EVER played online. For a game like Elemental it wouuld be even lower.
Usually an updates tab appears if any are available.
*Insert Sins of a Solar Empire plug here*
Sounds cool. It must also cut down on staff doing this
There's bound to be a LAN option, which would basically be single player but with humans as opposed to AIs (although there could still be AIs as well) like in Civ IV
It's part of the game lore that the sovreigns are immortal. Their descendents are not however. See https://forums.elementalgame.com/371029 for example.
Banned for misspelling Vasari
Interesting find. It may be due do to the shard improvement simply being a placeholder at the moment.
I think that there might need to be something done about this in general. Especially with your first city being next to a farm tile, it is the instinctive thing to build the palace and a farm. But this screws you over completely. Perhaps the palace coule give you enough population to get you to the next city level?
The tech tree is not fully implemented yet. I wouldn't worry about missing/incorrect assets like that.
banned for being harpo, or is that harping?
Why are we being bombarded by these threads all of a sudden. First the global warming non-hoax, now this.
Corporate Takeover.
Given that Dan Brown's books sell so well there isn't always a correlation between how good something is and how much money it makes (I don't care about the religious debates, the simple fact is the books are absolutely awful). I'm waiting for the reviews anyway. Then we'll see.
If Frogboy decrees something to be so bizarre and pointless that it isn't worth staying open, then it gets closed. It wasn't 'banned', merely closed.
The original poster assumes (the usual American assumption [e digicons];)[/e] ) that the queen is head of state of the UK, which while being technically true, is merely a ceremonial position with no power. She still is actually head of state of most of the commonwealth countries anyhow.
Might be a good idea, but Stardock are not going to be making something like this any time soon. For a start franchise games like this gome at a price and SD have no history of doing it. Also they have a timetable of games to make stretching well into the future, by which time it is lkely that someone else will have done it.
Banned because the Vasari would pwn the Galactic empire.
There will be some multiplayer, but seeing as most players pley single player they are putting more effort into that. There is a section of the beta devoted to multiplayer stuff.
It is frustrating if you need to quickly send a unit out onto a road and he gets put on the other side of the city. It would be better to be able to select the unit in the city when you select its icon, then move where you like.
"Right, I've got the magic, lets go conquer the world!" "Er, Mr Sovreign sir, we've got a problem" "Nothing can stop me, I am an immortal channeler!" What about those mountains walling us in on this tiny peninsula?" "Oh." 1260187781
