While I think a no-coin economy would be a non-starter, I certainly agree that basic materials should be worth a lot more at the beginning of the game, and are more common and less valuable as the game goes on.

I'm not even sure that the OP even read the article fully. People need to remember that the people writing these 'incriminating' emails are scientists, not politicians. The use of the word 'trick' is the biggest fallacy here. Trick in a scientific or mathematical context usually means a cunning argument in a proof or theory to account for some problem - in other words, the scientist had found a way to explain how global warming would still produce some cooling patterns.&nbsp

There wasn't a cut off for Entrenchment last time. With Elemental because the beta is so early (and so buggy) they didn't want people constantly joining and repeating bugs/suggestions all the time.

Good ideas. One thing I am not looiking forward to in the next beta though is this idea of choosing your next breakthrough (your scholars have made a major breakthough - choose the technology you wish to gain). It may work quite well but in roleplaying terms it's an absolute bomb. But that's what betas are for after all.

A lot of the problems are caused by people not by SD - crappy connections, rage quits and the like. They worked a ridiculous number of hours to get it stable for most people and to insinuate that they have done nothing is quite insulting. The devs are real people remember. Anyway SD is not the developer of the game, and while they did much of the online stuff they didn't develop the main game. Name me any MP game that doesn't have these problems in som
