don't think dragons are a problem, to be honest. most/all of the victory conditions can be achieved before you even get there. i think it's just a little fun addition to the end of the tree to speed up the "mop up" phase of the game. like nukes and stealth bombers in civ games.
If you rush victory, yes. However I like to play it out a bit and see what happens in the world, rather than massively focused on wiping out eve

My take on the paths: 3 numbers out of 10, 1st being early game, 2nd being mid game, 3rd being late game Mage: 5 - Good early game safe damage, but losses out in mana usage 8 - By now, mana issues should've been solved. Both summons, heal and spell damage trees shine really well here 9 - Now with full damage tree unlocked, the Mage becomes an unsto

1st of all, after 2 playthroughs of attempting to do the dragon statue quests, I cannot for the life of me find the second eye in any reasonable amount of time. It would be nice if, A. the quest spawns nearby or targetted quests that shows you exactly where the 2 eye quests are located at, or B, have a "reveal map" spell that reveals a large chunk of the map for mana, so you don't have to go searching for every inch of the map, or C, have all dragons drop the eyes until you hit 2 ey
As it is implemented now, Broken Loyalties invites the following exploit. Cast the spell and take the best city of an opponent on the other side of the map. You won't be able to keep the city because you have no armies near it. However, what you can do is raze it or destroy every single improvement in it. Rinse and repeat. Perhaps it would be best to make the probability of success of the spell contingent upon the unrest and development in the city.
I think weapons should not be restricted to only 1 ability for tactical combat. It would be far more interesting to perform numerous types of abilities to keep the tactical combat more interesting and more fun. Commander Trait(I feel the current commander trait is too limited to being battle cooks): 1. War Cry : Nearby units gain +3 attack, +3 defense, +3 dodge, and +1 movement 2. Marching Song : All units gain +2 moves Spears: 1. Spear Wall

Would help the community tie bonds even further and create clans or faction stuff - shortly put will really add a lot to the game
I wouldn't get your hopes up, SD has made it pretty clear MP isn't even on the table.

1. In tactical combat, please make it more visible to see your currently selected unit, as well as said unit's movement range. The current indicators blend too well. 2. More Shield/off-hand weapon types 3. as others have posted, female henchmen would be nice, and not hard to implement (i've done it in FE with about 25 minutes of work) 4. Add ability to get rid of Mercenary camps or stop them from spawning, or make their units free from wages 5. Ha
Well to be fair, the bar got it's uses for you assigning most important stuff (like skills / items) and spells that you use most or must have a visual indicator of their cooldown. Then again coming from heroes of might and magic series, where you always had to go through spell book to cast spells in combat or strategic map, is not really a problem to open the popup menu for spells each round. What I would like - if is not to
Ok let me clear this up a bit, shall I? Air elemental + Haste = ultimate death machine. If you have several air shrines (upgraded), he will kill an entire army by himself on first turn as soon as you haste him. I'll try to find the save with mine when I played Procipinee, he was 180hp 100 atk or something, 60 initiative with haste buff. Had no problem killing on his own an entire army of guardian st
well some of the later summons seem to be pretty impressive, so it will balance out in the end, i guess. lightbringer is good, but a defender champ is better, so again, it depends on the circumstances if it's worth picking him up. also, a trained tank unit doesn't require that much to be reasonably tough. with some leather armor and tank traits, they get to about 30 defense and 30ish base HP (+2 * number of figures for each
it's not a big surprise that the lightbringer is tanky. it's designed as a tank after all the thing with summons is, the first side branch (wisp & lightbringer for kingdom, free skeleton and the skeleton horde + horrific wail for empires) is really powerful. those spells are extremely useful in the early game. the main summoning line (ice/air etc...) is a bit weaker initially, but it also contains an extra level offthe summoner trait th
Are you saying you're not tackling Ophidians before you have boar spears? There are several combinations for taking down dragons of all types (or any dangerous non-magic immune monster) without having top tier gear or high levels of troops. Most notable being Shrink spell from life school which literally halves their attack power. You might want to gain access to resist fire gear or spells before tacklin
Yes piers and logging camps can be built if your city is "next" to the appropriate resource. Makes choosing a city location a little more interesting. The mod in question is my snaking mod and it brought back the mechanic that was removed during the beta of FE. and Tremor does work as described at least for me, it just counts the 3 turns with your current turn. Thus, it seems effectively 2 turns of immobilization instead of the 3
It's same for piers if am not mistaken. Regarding Ophidians as being weak. Not enough info. What did you fight them with? On what world difficulty setting? They are magic immune and have nasty bites (and great initiative) so I wouldn't really see anyone tackling them until mid game (not in groups of 3 or larger). They can and will 1 shot any leather wearing units, and you can't debuff / damage them with spells, summons will die
In FE, you could only expand into a forest and be able to build a lumber camp IF your city started directly diagonal from a forest. So if you started right next to one, you could build right away, if diagonal, you had to expand a bit, and any further than that, you couldn't build one ever.
fair enough :)
regarding 3 (Yithril): i think that's just coincidence. sometimes they will be strong, but in my games they are often really weak. guess Verga had just a streak of luck in your last 3 games regarding 5 (Ophidians): are they considered weak? i'm almost sure they are classified as "strong" (at least their lairs with 3 of the beasts). strength ratings aren't all that reliable, though. better to learn which creatures are actually

1. Tremor still doesn't work as described. Unless I'm wrong, Tremor is described to immobilize a unit for 3 turns, why then does it only ever immobilize a unit for 1 turn(the current)? 2. I played a diplomacy/conquest match, where as soon as i declared war on an enemy, almost all other factions declared war against me. Is this intended? 3. I played 3 full games, and in all 3 games, Yithril managed to climb to the very top very quickly. Balance issue perhaps?
Quoting Ratatosk7, reply 240That's a shame, I don't even bother playing games I can't play with friends these days. Even massive games like Skyrim get boring fast when you could be playing with a friend. I guess some people like playing alone for hours but that just seems really unhealthy on many levels. Some people are almost forced to play alone, or something similar to alone... Other people enjoy it more.
