Did anyone ever create an actual iTunes-looking Windowblind? I found one for StyleXP, but I'm too deep in with Stardock's products at this point to switch to another customization suite.

In the Ship Designer screen, increase the size of the little dials to change the orientation of parts, and put a number entry field so I can specify an orientation in degrees. I'm OCD about lining things up, but I'm too clumsy to do anything less than 15 degree increments.
Thanks Kestral. I'll double-check using Norton when I get back home and on my own laptop. Silly corporate laptops don't have user-friendly software installed... :p
This is much better than the existing site. Great job so far. This is why I don't mind renewing subscriptions with Stardock's stuff; they always improve it as time goes on, and are explicit when they abandon a product (e.g. ObjectBar).
ObjectDesktop Reform
The new style of login prompt looks fantastic, but password managers generally don't work with non-HTML objects (i.e. Silverlight, Flex/Flash, etc.). At least, mine doesn't (Norton Internet Security 2009).
tetleytea - I'm referring to the slowdown caused once all pages had been written to. Google is my friend: TRIM is supposed to resolve it, if I understand it correctly (which I may not...). It was the issue caused by needing to read an entire page, delete it, and then write it just to make an update.
Do the newer SSDs still have the problem of write performance collapsing once they hit a certain point? My fear is that I'll spend all this money on one, get used to awesome performance, and then find it suddenly becomes a much slower machine.
vistahelp.exe and vistahelp.manifest are in the Multiplicity folder on both machines. I didn't see a Group Policy setting that referred to software emulation of ctrl-alt-del. Any idea where it might be? It's not under Local Computer Policy\User Configuration\Administrative Templates\System\Ctrl+Alt+Del Options

send commands to computers tied together via Multiplicity? (i.e. CTRL-ALT-DEL)
I just started using it for work since I work remotely. Free calls to most 800/888 numbers is huge, since 70% of my phonecalls are conference calls.
My daughters each have one too. The youngest has CrazyC0330's model pictured above.
My WinXP Pro SP3 32-bit image has had explorer.exe hang on boot lately as well. Killing explorer.exe and then running it works as well.
A couple forum posts from late 2008 seemed to indicate that it wasn't possible back then. I tried CTRL-ALT-Backspace and the cursor changes to the arrow with the hourglass for a split second, but nothing happens. Unfortunately my secondary Vista64 machine goes into locked mode every 15 minutes (corporate machine). It'd be nice to unlock it without needing to hit CTRL-ALT-DEL on it's keyboard. Primary: WinXP Pro SP3 32-bit Secondary: Vista Enterprise 64-bit</p
Not sure how: I just know I have one up right now. I think the skin needs to be semi-transparent (i.e. have an alpha channel). I don't know of a setting that says "make my dock transparent", though.
Just curious: how do games in the Europa Universalis series handle succession? Do they have a good model?
Keith - Those are great suggestions. If they do use a hybrid model, then if someone really wants, they can hard-code the whole thing in Python, but those of us with less programming skill can just hack some XML and call it a day. <img id="myFxSearchImg" style="border: medium none; position: absolute; z-index: 2147483647; opacity: 0.6; display: none;" src="data:image/png;base64,iVBORw0KGgoAAAANSUhEUgAAABgAAAAYCAYAAADgdz34AAADsElEQVR4nK2VTW9VVRSGn33OPgWpYLARbKWhQlCHTogoSkjEkQwclEQ
The new build seems to have resolved the issue for me. By twiddling with explorer settings and fences settings I was able to get it down to 20% utilization, but the new build has explorer idling properly around 2%. Btw, a four-day response time to fix this--and having the fix on Sunday--is really good. Thanks for the extra effort. Cheers!
I recommend... Add to triggers: Other quests Add to rewards: Other quests Diplomatic changes Consider adding the ability to "pass of" certain quests to other factions, or perhaps to initiate some of your own. This may be best for the "fetch and carry" quests. "Hey, Faction A, make me happy by running off and getting me some X". <img id="myFxSearchImg" style="border: medium
You can make tabbed docks slightly transparents already, I believe.
Dominions 3 also has an excellent grimoire of non-standard spells, some of which only function as counter-spells. There's plenty of "does x damage" types, mind, but there's also interesting ones that curse opponents, summon opposing generals to the caster's location, etc.
This IncrediBuild thing reminds me of some software WETA uses. Basically they turn all of their graphic artists' workstations into a great big virtualized rendering farm at night.
Thanks. I had Ultimate, and just got my subscription extended to 12/05/2010 per the nice perk us Ultimate subscribers got. :) I'll try unlocking the Fence and seeing if that helps. Gotta reboot now...
I somehow have both Fences and Fences Pro installed, but can't find the Pro features. My ObjectDesktop subscription ran out on 12/05/09, but I should be able to initiate Pro somehow.
