yea well its clearly a joke. plus the research thing was a giveaway, mines give production, not research. but yea, that precursor library is so rare its pratically mythical or legendary. like the golden city of the Xercai empire which is rumored to have unimaginable riches, but nobody can find it. (sort of an interstellar El Dorado)

yea, the Evil alignment sounds like a good one for warmongers and conquerers. don't the Neutral alignment get some other weapons and defense? because in the online manual that came with the demo, it says the Neutral get some tech stuff. of course though it could easily be outdated.

probably going to do the demo and prob mess with shipdesigns because I'm bored and yea I realize now that the UI for the shipbuilder is quite different from the demo, its still fun to use though.

well, I know that you can do something with the xml, but I only have the demo atm and don't know whats in the files for custom race. so I don't know if you can do something as advanced like that.

I'm thinking something maybe got permanently screwed up a long time ago in applying all those beta patches. I'll probably just do a full reinstall and put on the last patch, after I finish my current game. that probably sounds like the best idea if some file got messed up on your computer.

that could help, although theres still the issue of when you click on the bottom corner of the minimap, you have a tandency to accidentially click the turn button. its just a gripe of my own though.
