still, if you had 100 weapons on the thing, it would be hellishly expensive. AFAIK, miniturization reduces the amount of space a part takes up, not the cost.

I dunno, a 3000% bonus sounds like it could crash the game because you'd end up with possibly thousands of 'slots'
from what I've heard, the Torians also have a tendency to expand really fast (and eventually ruin thier economy with low class planets).
well, different environment, that is an MMO and this game is not. MMO games are harder to balance really because so many ppl wnat this and that. My point was that they are willing to help the community. I get this view because I was in Star Wars Galxies for a year and I had to endure thier horrible customer relations, compared to Star Wars Galaxies when I was there, the dev-community relations was 100% better in City of Heroes. So I just kind of appreciate the dev-community relations somewhat mo
I guess she is trying to do that Onikazi.
oh yea, you guys should delete the 'Frogboy's stickies are bieng targeted...' thread as we don't need it anymore. CoH Which one is this? Abbreviations some times get out of hand... -Wade City of Heroes.
There are a few, the CoH devs have really good relations with the community, although not quite as close as here because the fanbase is so much larger and they have larger things to work with, but they do work with the community although here and on the CoH community are the only ones that I personally know that have devs with great relations with the community.
yea, now you guys can relax and enjoy the weekend better StarDock also, Frogboy, what about my forum idea post? its just an idea that could be implemented, but doesn't have to be implemented in like two weeks from now because you guys obviously have higher priorities such as working on the patch, general tech suppourt, and having a little fun on the forums <img src="http://images.stardock.com/g
did you submit the game to the metaverse? its possible that some bug happened to you which CariElf mentions about in the Mods and Bugs dev journal which should be fixed in 1.2 as I don't have the full game just yet, I don't know of anything else that could cause this. although, if you used cheats anytime in the game, I guess it could happen that way.
raw eggs? lol. I think hardboiled eggs would be healthier, but considering it's harder, it would hurt a bit more. anywayy... this whole deal is done now and we don't have to worry about that guy anymore.
I'll probably join this one for Metaverse after I get my game in a bit less than 2 weeks. I'm not sure whether my idea for a custom race will work with the metaverse games or not.
theres at least two threads asking a similar question a couple pages back. even though the search feature sucks as it only looks at titles, you should be able to find them by searching for 'fleet' since those two threads had similar questions. although I'll prob try and find those two for you as that search thing is wierd. here ya go, I think there was only one thread about it, but it should answer your question: https://forums.galciv2.com/?ForumID=346&AID=117869
there are cheats, you just have to activate them. go here for the info: https://www.galciv.wikia.com/wiki/Cheats
well, there is going to be a new combat system coming in 1.2 in a week or two, so I guess we'll see how that works.
well the UI fixes in 1.2 will help the general gameplay experience. personally I'm willing to wait for an AI fix because of this.
I know about hosting places for images, but I'm not sure what places would host files like a savegame.
eh well, shameless bump to get it to appear on the forums.
somewhat inspired by the economy issue post someone had and also because the Civfanatics.com site has this capability. my idea is to have a way to attatch gamesaves to a post so that if someone needs some help with something large such as economy, others could look at it and help out. I don't know if its possible to implement it or not, but its an idea that popped up and I'm just giving my thoughts.
more details please, just saying that you can't see the stuff doesn't narrow it down, it could be a graphics problem, or it could be something else thats causing it through the graphics. and post that debug thing that I always see ppl post when they have a bug or something,
Bug 3: Are those missile/beam stats just from the starbase bonuses? You really shouldn't equip your ships with multiple weapon types, it's less effective because of the way the damage is calculated. You should still utterly destroy them though... Bear in mind that your average attack power is always going to be half that of the maximum power of a single shot. Also, you mig
I understand some people don't like it -- but I think it should be an "option" for people who do. In terms of the physics... well it's presently a 2D game right? Like Kosty said, you could claim the universe / galaxy / whatever is a cylinder (or a sphere if it is 4-way wrapping). Maybe the gravity at the galactic core is too strong, the stellar matter (or whate
I'm guessing the precursor library is so rare its legendary/pratically mythical like the golden city of the Xercai empire which is rumored to have unimaginable riches, but nobody can find it. (sort of an interstellar El Dorado). but the only way to know for sure if its been removed from the game or if its just incredibly rare is to ask one of the devs.
you have to download the IRC application for SDC from the downloads section, the rest should be easy. and good morning guys.
sounds like that randomizer could do some wierd things. anyway, good night guys.
I can answer that because I also saw the comment. we didn't lose the code or anything like that, its that StarDock had gotten so preoccupied with taking care of this pest that they couldn't do the AI stuff they wanted to. In short, they had to sacrifice time that would have been spent on working with the AI, but instead they were working on a solution to get rid of that pest-you-know-who.
