I had every skin do that, aero or not. I was told to disable WFX5 and they worked again. Mine were the shutdown menu, admin menu, and recent menu. Funny that the control panel menu didn't have a problem (I use menu style not window style on those) Too bad, I really liked WFX5. I will run it again on the next release - it is beta after all. etc. If the screen shot had been taken with a plain background you would have been able to see it better. If you go to my thread

AND WFX 5 beta? The war was that some of the WB skins had clear windows. Most noticeably the "ADMIN", "RECENT", and "SHUTDOWN" windows. No background, no text, no nothing. I was told it was a documented side-effect of the WFX5 beta.

I like WFX 5 but it had a war with WB 7 x64 beta. I'm too lazy to see if I can clean out some residual files and fix it. So I turned it off (didn't remove, just turned it off) and the problem went away. It is a lot of fun, I like the window flip feature - page through a stack of windows. Tossing the windows around is fun, but I did get one stuck in the top of my second monitor. My monitors are not the same size (my laptop is smaller than desktop by quite a bit) so I don't blame th

Ah, the joy of Hungry Lizard. I didn't realize that it was still in the system. It was the first camp I ever went to - before going to basic even. The last time I was there it was so darn hot that some of the maintenance guys got together and put the float plug back into the trailer section of a gamma goat (that dates me) and filled it full of water. I was toodling around a building going to mess and there they were, three of them, drinking their pop and grinning. Seems like they had a

I was telling hubby about the breach and he had something to share. He works at one of those call centers where they answer billing questions for a cell company. Yesterday he had a customer call whose cell minutes for the past year were always below 300 a month and always in the free-call hours. They got their bill and there was nearly 2,000 minutes spaced all over the day and always to the same number - and they still had the phone in their possession. It's apparently not jus

Try using a Navy Federal debit card in a town that would only dream of having a Navy facility. Add on that the businesses all have to run it as credit because their machines don't recognize the "bank". I'm not sure there is more than one Navy Fed in the state. But they do have member ATMs, you just need to read the label. Even so, they take forever to a transaction to show up. This reminds me, I need to call them about this whole thing. As for the emergency credit card, they s

Bah, never used Impulse. These were all done by hand. Don't even think the install I had was called Impulse. Mine was a 4 tab thing with games and news - it looked on my HD for the product but recently never could even recognize the serial numbers. It was some type of web browser thing (maybe Impulse?) Before that was something called Stardock Central (sound familiar?) (wouldn't let me cut'n'paste)

Been playing with figures and scenes. I thought it would be a good way to illustrate my book if I can ever figure it out... It runs nice though, not hogging resources the way my usual graphics program does. With it I whistle the "Final Jeopardy" tune while waiting for a render to finish (or a save)

OK, both WFX4 32 and WFX5 64 were running. I stopped WFX4 (which is a service) and it didn't help, so I stopped WFX5 and still nothing. I disabled WFX4 - couldn't find where WFX5 was booted from - and restarted the computer. It started with no 4 or 5. Stuff works. I tried to restart 5 to see what would happen and it refused. I suspect that WFX5, because it is a beta, needs WFX4 in order to run or 5 installed incorrectly. I also surmise that WFX4 32 bit and WFX5 64 bit do not lik

Some folks don't realize that their Visa from Wolworths and Master Card from their bank most likely are from the same company and just branded for whomever has it. I think even biggies like Chase are together on it. So, one card fits all as far as compromise is concerned - nobody is left out.
