I got that when I made a new user and some of my shortcuts were in the old user directory. I also messed up the icons for a bunch of them because I moved those to a third place (public) I had to simply re-make some shortcuts. I think there would be a chance for them to break also if there was a change from 32 bit to 64 bit as well. I'm glad it is working. I think you were right about needing to install OD first.
I got it and was staring at it - didn't touch anything mind you - but was staring at it. It kinda looks like Hexagon (which I've only stared at too) Both are intimidating in my mind. I've owned (or they've owned me) one or more Tervuren continuously since 1986. Along the way I've also owned some Malinois. One was a former police dog who was one of my search dogs. Very talented dogs - SAR, competitive obedience, conformation (beauty) shows, sledding, protection, herding (including one dog that did all of those in his lifetime) I know I've left something out. Hubby, on the other hand, had chocolate Labradors.
Do you have one called "Ribbons"? It is definitely dual-monitor aware. So is a Vista one called Aurora, only it just recognizes to paint each screen. Hum... I'm no sure I chose cream text on an orange background, but it works. I hate when people choose "OS Default" as a font or color. Sometimes I'll go through a skin and change every instance I can find of font or color to be something than OS Default.
I have that happening too, but I just thought it was the skin.
Microsoft no longer supports gadgets. Already with Win 7 I have found several that just don't work. When I try to find a web page of a creator to get updated ones, they are not there. Concentrate more on independent creators like those at Wincustomize as MS will soon just stop. Because the applications are all supported in one place, the gadgets made by people who are here are more likely to be comparable. Saying that, my favorite gadget is one that relays the earthquakes as they happen.

I have Win 7 x64. Deskscapes are fine, but certain gadgets run goofy after the screen saver comes off. It doesn't matter about monitors (2). I just quit using those gadgets (and some widgets also) All my favorites run fine. My theory was that the ones in questions were sucking up available memory, as I have had that problem with some Deskscapes. I could just imagine that the first couple skins I make would be memory hogs or something else, so I am not mad at the creators if that is the ca

I was snooping around the JoeUser.com web site and when I clicked on "About Us" this is what I found... "About and stuff" Title banner as the rest, things along the right side as the rest, bottom info as usual. Just three words at the top of the left side. Not sure who to mention it to, or perhaps it was intentional? At least it didn't say something crude.
The scary thing is that some of these folks look EXACTLY like their moniker.

One way I have fixed the recycle bin in the past is to just turn it off. there is a setting that you tell it "delete without using the recycle bin" and it goes to file heaven. restart once or twice and it should dump of what it had, then when you start it back up it should be sitting someplace different and not be corrupt. We used to move things on the drive by clearing it (like turning the recycle bin or page file off) reboot it, and then copy a fairly good size file a million times to fill
