Moose, Thanks for the reply. I did upgrade to 1.11 I can't get more current video or audio drivers out of dell and even though the video card is made by NVidia, it's in a dell laptop so generic NVidia drivers don't work. here's the last snippet from the current debug run..... the "flipping" error just goes on forever Debug Message: Clear galaxy settings. Game locks up during startup in Bug Reports GalCiv2 Forums

Just installed the game and BonusPack v1.11. Started a campaign and after the last screen of the game setup, when posts the LOADING message at the bottom of the screen, it just hands, the music plays, all my other windows go black until I kill the game. Any thoughts?

Graphics card driver help in Bug Reports GalCiv2 Forums

I have a Dell Latitude C840 laptop with a GeForce4 440 Go video card. When I installed GCiv2 and the 1.11 BonusPack, I was informed (when I ran it for the first time) that I needed a video driver that supported DirectX v9.0c (which I do have loaded). The message also suggested that I upgrade my driver to one that was published in 2005. The only problem is the most recent driver from Dell is dated 2002. I tried getting drivers from the nVidia site, tried a bunch of different files and ver
