Nexus has been great for my fallout3/NV/etc mods. I really like the idea of a central site (although i was under the impression the wincustomize one was it). Mods = fantastic in terms of expanding a games potential and longevity.

My last game was 18k points.. unfortunately it didn't save the game before that which was 14k pts. Didn't MoM have a high score list and gave teh breakdown for the points? Would be nice if we a) kept prior scores (maybe per victory type?) and b) knew what made up the score. Retirement should also give a point score other than "Janusk"

I keep forgetting to check before a new game and have run up against my own factions in the past 4 games - named after myself, my wife and kids. So far, all of which have been tweaks to the same theme - beastlord, basic air, melee with a bunch of talents (+3 atk, +1 army initiative, +2 mana, -20% magic, brilliant and something else. Various blood types. Empire, master scout, lucky, heroic for all Invariably - even without being able to adequately

Played 3 full games and part of another. 1 died with the "can't end turn bug". Short version: Its Fun and somewhat addicting Difficulty/AI need work at least up to challenging Research/Pacing is a bit odd and could possibly be revisited Champions can be powerful, which is good. Need a heavier cost. Overall its enjoyable, even moderately short term addicting. Good improvements from ewom. &n

Getting the same issue. End turn button and clicking enter do nothing. I can save, reload and hit enter and it will advance to the next turn (which is really annoying btw). I've got all my units controlled, only have 4 or 5 out on the map. Can this happen with an AI unit? Any way to find/deal with it?

Re-visiting player as well. Definitely bummed on the essence situation. The entire allure of the game was based around the uniqueness of the concept. Hoard essence and be a demi-god, but have poor infrastructure. Spend essence to improve infrastructure and become weaker. With the idea that the expenditure of essence was a permanent strategic cost. Bummer.

One of my favorite parts of MoM is the hero building aspect. Coddling a hero (Fang, Amazon, Ninja are my favs) till they get a couple levels and then outfitting them with every buff possible as well as an ever improving set of items. Then taking that hero and wiping the floor with the cheating AI :) Think my fav is 4W, 2B, 1G for the buffs. Played a 7W last week and while good, missed the blue buffs. Just finishing a 5Bl2G and don't really like t

Cutscenes really don't do it for me. SC2 had a few good ones, but nothing that I couldn't do without. I like metrics rather than pretty, both are even better. Major milestone cutscenes/graphics and end game metrics. I do like the end of open ended rpg's where they do the drawings/static images with the voiceover giving the decisive fallout - i.e. i saved town x, now town x is thriving. Better yet, my goody two shoes saved town x, which then went on to bec

Playing it again now with the "new" 1.4f patch. Slightly different game, although couldn't pinpoint why. I'm stuck in a grind fest right now, I'm winning. I've taken out 2, but still have two left. They were at war, now they've allied which I don't ever remember them doing which is cool. With the amount of mana they get there is crazy attrition. Its tough to keep heroes alive at all. I used to buff up fang or the other flying guy and wreak

Played a 1.4f map last night. Large continent..got stuck on an island. I hate islands. I restarted 3 times and got stuck on an island. Restarted the 4th but got a food/silver resource and went with it. Kind of made the game better, didn't get bumrushed by the ai and while i couldn't get my good troops over that easily i could keep my back door undefended. Damn I still like the game. Started off slow, but picked up. Plus the emulator I us

FFH completely revitalized my desire to play civ for quite a while. Talk about a complete game makeover. Don't know the specific guy, but if he was really 90% behind the design of it, I'd love to see an effort to pull him in. "Here's $1k, Here's our vision, Here are our requirements, Here's what we don't want to see....give us a broad outline of a meaty mod" Great. "Here's $5k, love this, hate this, give us a base design" Great "Here's $5k

I support the idea to balance the existing sov's, but personally will always use custom. As a whole I am very unsatisfied with the customization options for sovereigns as well as factions. Bland, in a word. There is currently a mod (unfortunately not updated since 1.06) that adds quite a few interesting abilities and could definitely be expanded upon - both for talents and professions. I'd like to see a balancing act upon that as well since they allow a bit mor
