I jumped on that one too. I just hope the skinstudio update gets me better performance on my "WB4.1"
Only if you have enough memory to support backwards compatibility with biodegradeable components
Nope, a horrible mess. But at least the network of people is large enough that you're not limited to the newest Eminem album when you go looking for music. Kazaa's hijackware would lend your processing power, drive space and bandwidth to their own ad-serving network. So -you're- the one actually sending out those blasted popups.
Bear with me, this is the level of support everyone startes with (along the lines of, did you plug in the television before turning it on) Got windowblinds installed? Once it's up and running, opening a .wba file should automatically unpack the skin. Those will then show up on your desktop's properties dialog under "appearance" or "skins" depending on what version of windows you're running.
that was so cheesy, I might even boo myself
*ahem* Using some old silverware, a book of ordinary matches, some scotch tabe and a chewing gum w/wrapper, I've incorporated sticky windows into WB4. I give you... WB4.1, the first significant update with new features. I'm still working on compatibility for the 'glide' wrapper though. *rimshot*
Well let's see here... I run an epublishing site with a nice clean layout, though I'm gonna be redoing it in something darker soon. Looking to learn asp in the process to make it easier. http://members.shaw.ca/fhs I also work for an online magazine, and February's edition's aaaaaalmost ready to go (later this week) and it'll be up at this one http://www.saskworld.com/bodymindspirit Each edition has it's own look and feel, kinda like skinning the entire site <img src="h
mmmm... porsche :F See? It's PERFECT! BWAHAHHAA
Using some old silverware, a book of ordinary matches and some scotch tape I've cobbled together a perfect substitute for WB4 until it's release. MacGuyver, eat your heart out. Of course, every time things change onscreen I must quickly and manually rearrange my new windowblinds 'borders' to suit. This lags slightly, but I can easily blame my video card.
I like Boxxi's cute icon The new one should be a 'doof'. Think of goofy grinning with those big ole teeth when ya look at this emote :F Or think of Fighter from 8-bit theatre saying "I like swords :F" See? Perfection! Awesome for people drooling awestruck over eye candy, such as.. "Mmmmm shellstyles :F :F :F"
If it's for a good cause like cancer reasearch, I wouldn't mind donating some of my system's brains. Brilliant Digital on the other hand (Kazaa's hijackware) wasn't quite so welcome. Bammo!
working hard on a macro to keep on clickin every five minutes while I'm asleep, actually. Sure it checks automatically, but not often enough! bwahahaha
can't flash files carry virii? I know downloadable exe versions I used to get from joecartoon were loaded with em
I like it to be an open area where the picture doesn't seem out of place -- but if you turn off the welcome screen and don't have a user picture, I hate seeing the 'frame' left behind. So don't intentially create a spot for it that'll stick out if it's not there. Blackcomb for example has a very definite frame. Seer on the other hand looks fine with or without it. I'm just wondering why turning off the welcome screen also turns off the user pics. First time I noticed it missing, I was r
It's hard enough getting a winamp3 skin to control winamp3, let alone getting a third party app to do it. Cool as it is, what were they on when they made it?
Naw, I'm a nerd too. It's alright web designer by trade, actually. Nice to meetcha lol
Did you load up a certain windowblinds skin that's misbehaving? Is it only on certain windows? What's up? More input, more i n p u t
there he is! *glomp huggled Jafo like a celebrity*
Like now? Jafo you big intelligent type guy, I need an autographed sexy poster of you STAT!
Fire bad, fire BAD
June 14, 1982. And lo, it was good.
*inches away from shmoopy, scared outta his wits* Back on topic, Jafo you rule. I want a poster of you for my room. Maybe a whole calender of the bad boys and gals of wincustomize. Yeah baby!
Good gawd. Jafo, you deserve a big hug after all this. I've never seen anyone with more patience and professional candor than you and the other techies going through this 'issue'. It'd be so easy and tempting to do a big ole ban but wow, you're really dedicated. Kudos. If anything I love Stardock more than ever after this. One telltale quote I found in this thread by ole D1... "In the grand scheme of things, this is the exact same sort of responses I get from IT department
Or wait... maybe if we all suck up to Frogboy... Froggie the great, the god among skinners and stardocky people with good grace and not-horrible personal hygeine. We pray to you with froggie-rain dances and frog sacrifices, bestow up on us the might of WB4
