In MOO2, (not 3), the Antarans sent very weak ships with high technology. Assault shuttles captured them and then poof my race had powerful ships.

What ever happened to the interdictor module for starbases that was supposed to slow down enemy ships? Does anything like that still exist? It would be nice to change the game so on a large map travel across the galaxy took longer. I tried a game with gigantic and few stars, and the minimap was so tiny and I had to zoom into see (it was awful). Also after about a year each time I clicked the turn button, I had to wait a minute. Two years two minutes, etc.

* Ability to disable anomolies * Ability to disable trade goods and galactic achievements, or at least be able to create them if another civilization already made one bypassing the patent laws by dropping out of the united planets * Ability to decommission trade good / galactic achievement, or at least to move them. * Some way (or at least a known way besides destroying them) to stop other races from stealing your technology. * In Masters of Orion

Why population does not matter for factories and research? Why they killed the bonus of getting 100 billion population with the taxes as square root? Getting population to 100 billion should be rewarded--it takes 10 of the best farms and tons of virtual reality centers. And the only benefit is 3 and 1/6th times the taxes as 10 billion.

Master of Orion II's only flaw was that annoying research choices. The AI admittedly was lame but that was because the game was old (MOO3 AI's was worse, although galciv2 seems to have a good AI) Moo2 could: * Race Customization was the best (although MOO3 did try, but lacked some things). There was just so much to make the race unique, and not just a stat modding thing. In GalCiv II, race modifiers are teeny about 20%, and most race modification is replaced simply by what bui

I have 1.5 GHz with 512MB ram. And if I upgrade it'll probably be to a new motherboard and that means new ram, everything. But I heard I need to wait because Microsoft is doing this new weird software. Also I think the game graphics aren't that great--they're mostly like icons and I'm not awed. Oh, but I have a FX5200 video card (128MB video ram) so I don't know if toning down video will do it? So what can I do to speed up perfomance? I've found anti-aliasing works (no info from

User ship designs carry over from all saves and these clutter the list. When a design is deleted, all ships with it just go '''poof!''' with no notice of their completely worthless scrap values (like 10 credits for something that would cost 10,000 to buy) coming up (maybe scrap values not even given). Is there a way I should be doing this??
