There will probably be messages notifying you of most of the procedures the AI would take on without command. And i am also pretty certain that they will allow us to overide AI set commands.

Congress plans... i should better say Republicans in Congress plan to give up Network Neutrality and give the power to control the internet to certain "gatekeepers". In this case those "gatekeepers" are AT&T and Comcast. These companies would be able to control what sites work for us and which ones dont, what blogs we are allowed to view and which ones they will edit. They will not harm only those sites that pay them enough, they will also reduce the time it takes to load a certain site based on
Exactly my point, i dont think that these people, for lack of a better term, could be kept at bay without a structured system.
It has been stated that you can set tasks for individuals captains of ships and then i think you can set goals or "targets" for the commander of the entire fleet to follow.
We dont know if techs between the three diffrent races will be simillar or compatible with each other. But, im pretty sure they will allow you to gather resources from destroyed ships and stations, no sense in letting all that metal go to waste.
Nothing really new... its been on youtube for a month or so.
That person is an idiot a true emberasment to Germany, one of the most psychologicaly enlightened countries, producing reknowed psychologist(Frued anyone?) There is no basis to this law, nothing supports it. All research conducted on game cruelty and real life have proven to be negatively correlated. Meaning that they have almost no effect on psychologically stable people, most of understand that that violance is animated and that we shouldnt repeat it. Now for games to effect a person
See its not that kind of backstabing im personally worried about, say player x gets pissed at player y for whatever reason, and they are both playing co-op. Now player x sees player z(the enemy) massing fleets towards one of his planets, so he asks player y for some ships to help out the entire empire. However, player y is immature and doesnt want to forget their earlier conflict, so instead he keeps his ships where they are and watches player x strugle.
These are some nice ideas i have to say. It was stated that even though you could micromange almost everything in the battles, you can also set prefrences of the captain of each fleet, to command each ship a certain way. So say you have some pricy ships that are very powerful, but very fragile in your fleet, you can make sure that they are used rarely and are mostly kept defended, same goes for being aggressive with other ships, or being more neutral and only attacking certain targets.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vMcwmwnqvMM thats the link for the song and the movie.
This is a really old song, if it is what i think it is, i can provide a you tube link since it also has a movie to go along with the song.
Who knows maybe Brad is just trying to tell us that he knows of a secret government plot arleady in action to subjugate the world by using evil, scheming, all-knowing AI programs.... through an a gaming journal the world shall see
Yeah, nothing can stand up to Toast though. Still it a good song.
All i have to say about that is a AI that intelligent will just be creppy.
Most likely the game will be very well oriented multiplayer wise, but we dont know yet well have to wait for the beta and even then we cant really be sure.
I am Russian and can read the language so ill tell you now that there is no possible way to pronounce those words to make them sound like any Russian word i know. And anyways, seems like the problems been solved.
Its true that culture didnt really "take over" anything. But, it influenced others to do so, the Soviet Union fell because of western culture, as companies from the US moved in the Russian people finally got a "taste"(funny McDonalds was the first company to appear) of the outside world and decided it was time to change the policy. Same thing happens with the culture flip of planets, the citizens see that the services your empire has are better than the ones they are provided with so they rise u
The weird thing is historic friendship works against you sometimes. In my current game i have been friends with the Thalan for the entire game(about 6 years). Yet the Historic Friendship has two negatvies next to it.
I think it will be limited just like stated they expect a miminum of 1v1 for online so there will probably be other restrictions.
I figured it would happen, and after i saw the post on the society forum i was lead to believe it to be true. Otherwise why take the time to make the post. Just wish it wasnt so
Although definitive jobs could be the best way to go about it. I still think that there should be a leader system so if one person leaves the leader can just assign extra tasks to another. Also, maybe, if the leader is doing a poor job the team can coduct of "vote of no confidence" and remove him/her from power.
Very well done
Wow i would love to play a game where the galaxy is that unstable. I mean in some of my games there are periods of instability but i usually fix those pretty quickly by bribing races, but the secrent meeting event is only in the beat for DA right?
I think they didnt get a lot of ships cause usually from what i have seen in the campaign their ships tend to do a lot of damage... i mean A LOT of damage.
O that would be cool... Stardocks expansion pack for Gal Civ 2 will have something like this called an Epic Generator which will generate the story of your game. Ofcourse since this would be in real time it would be very interesting if they added movie features and text to support what was happening.
