Well then why is there a measurement of light years and such. Doesnt light still take time to travel from place to place. The light leaving our sun takes 8 seconds to travel to the Earth, however light is always traveling from the sun so there is a constant stream of it. What about a supernova, we might still think that sun is there because the light has to travel for so long the last death throw of the star followed by the super nova hasnt reached us yet.

Space Elevators would help us. We would be able to diliver matterials into orbit, and then from orbit we would be able to construct ships much larger than those we could under the restriction of our gravity. We could also deliver more fuel and necessary equipment for outgoing or ingoing voyages. What i meant by too slow is that at this moment the light leaving our sun will still take a decent amount of time to get to alpha centauri. But, its better than nothings.

Its not really facism untill the populous is under full watch of the government, sure its a... ignorant and demostrative action. But, as stated it was more overreaction then anything. I mean what were the video designers supposed to do, throw labtops at them? And Germany isnt, you can consider some areas of China to be developed to a very good point, yet still their government maintains a large police and secret police presence in the area. Russia(although i regret to say so) also has

We cant call anyone idiot without being in their shoes. There has to be some belief, no matter how illogical it seem, that made that person make a decision. Blaming or branding doesnt solve a situation.

Wow... i read that somewhere in a book, i think it was by Asimov, he explained it almost like that. Except light still travels too slow for us to move across too much space. Our best bet is to prove that wormwholes exist and then find out how they occur and harness that power. We would be able to open then at will then and travel to the other ones around the galaxy. Sure it wouldnt be too accurate, but untill we discover fussion then its our best bet. To make that equation possible you would nee

That would be really cool if they added expansion packs going through the story of each of the races, first how the humans united in to the Trade Order, then how the Vasari fell and some of the races they killed in their exodus, and finally how the Advent found their way back to Trade Space and the problem with their material crisis.

Ill tell you something, ask any respectable psychologist today and they will tell you that you will have to be one messed up person to actually repeat the virtual violance, or to even let it influence you. Yes children learn by watching, yes we are social creatures that mimic what we see. But, that doesnt me that we can't tell right from wrong yes? As i stated before, to actually WANT to repeat that violance you would have to have had some kind of tramatic experience that messed up you

Live and the Universe is always evolving, already our space probes and statelite-telliscopes have picked up about 300 planets that have started going through phases of development our planet did in its begging. Though it said that those planets still have millions of years to go before becoming habbitable, that doesnt mean that we still wont be here to view other life come into existance. Though there might not be much in our galaxy(being one of the lesser dense ones), there might be something o

... I guess well never know what killed them, a lot of the sites say it was a tactical mulfunction. But, i dont get how sending your whole army to destory something you dont know about is being un-tactical *sarcasm*

Well they can currently trace them by IP, but the thing is they either switch it or hide it so its difficult. Still many get caught, and to allow such rapid IP address flipping will require quite a system, but then again MIT probably came up with something better than Gigabytes. Its probably patented and wont appear for years though... cause its trapped in the ridiculous law system in America

Woot that be so cool to have a battle in one of those, with some of your fighters getting pulled in by their grav well and being destroyed and huge capitls accidently crashing and causing huge explotions.

The part about i being immune to hackers is only partial truth... they probably though that problems like hackers will never happen anyways, but they did. I dont think that system will stay impervious to them for long no matter how well made everything has a weakness.

I wonder if too many battles happen in one system an artificial asteroid ring of broken ship parts will start forming.

Its space, and space isnt meant to be colorful Nice pic i like the massive scale battle, one question though whats the tall looking ship at the right of the screen? Or is that a space station?

First off, I know you can manuever your ships in 3d space, like in Homeworld. But, i have been wondering how exactly you would give the orders to make a ship move to another plane of space. Secondly, this question is about graphics and ship destruction. As a ship gets hit i know it will start smoking and electric sparks will be pressent on its surface, but will it actually start falling appart. Like as one side of the ship gets hit repetedly its weapon platforms being falling off one by

There will be fleet commanders, these guys are AI opperated and while you arent mangaing the battle they will do it for you. They pick the best targets to destroy and the ships they should try to protect on your own side. Second, there is experience i think, the ships will become more powerful the more battles they are in. But dont quote me on that. I dont know about moral, but i know that things can either have a default name our you could make the name whatever you want. <br

The Internet is old that is true, but it has united the world in ways no one has immagined, it has pretty much got rid of miscommunication and has allowed mega-libraries full of knowledge available to the public. Without NN we would be limited in that aspect. I dont think the Internet will be replaced soon, Microsoft wont let it happen and what system could be better, no one has been able to think of anything faster... yet.
