I hope some of you relise almost nothing will happen in the change, both the parties have pretty much the same views sure they have a diffrent outlook on certain issues, but the real power change wont happen till the presidencial election which at thsi point also looks like it will go to the Democrats unless Bush can improve his approval rating(kind of ironic hes had one of the lowest and highest approval ratings in the history of this country) or the Republicans get some brand spanking new cand

You can never be sure right there should always be a margin of error to add a bit more fun and surprise.
I think if we leave the AI to its orders it should be able to figure out the best formations and if not a little micro never hurt anyone.
K i dont even remember how i found out about this game now i just need to get enough money to pre order it and help with the beta.
Who knows maybe you will get more devs since people in Michigan are really looking for jobs at the moment some of them with a good tech background who got fired by all the small bussiness that went bankrupt.
I just worry about the fact that Sup Com is putting out a lot more advertising than Sins is.
Some of the civs could be too intimidated to ever ally while others like a strong millitary power. If i was you i would conquer them, you would get the most points that way.
To be realistic a ship in space would implode not really explode, but seems that games today(or ever) dont follow real physics. Still a nice explotion is always impressing.
I am sure that some of you on this forum have heard of Supreme Commander. They say that it will be a game of epic scale and proportion, just like this one and that it will be the RTS of 2007. Now, to me this game looks a lot more drawn out and interesting, plus the story line sounds a lot more appealing yet less detailed. Plus im a big space RTS fan so i automatically feel that his game will potentially be more fun to play. But Sup Com seens to be more popular and well know at this point, it alr
I am sure Stardock has the money but with its current projects its hard to tell wheter it will have the manpower for something like this. Hopefully it does but its not for us to decide.
The game looks good and your first sentance makes no sense whatsoever
Yea and as you gain point people will want you to join Empires which are just communities of players that compete for galactic control based on the points each player earns for the Empire. The more point the Empire has the more of the galaxy it gets.
And things dont just materialize out of thin air just cause you paid for it doesnt mean it will appear in front of your face.
As stated its hard to place a border on something as vast as space, plus borderes get annoying dont they, still you can declare war on the civilization that has ships in your borders, and they can do the same. Borders are in a way respected by the AI, but ships that cant do that much like scouts and buiders, should they really be restricted, and i know for one thing i dont want trade ships to stop coming to my planets just cause i have a border and its my space <img src="http://images.stardock.c
I like the current pace of the game, dont want it much slower it could do with a bit more epicness. I mean you conquer the entire galaxy in just a few years, seems to be a bit unrealistic. But if your looking for a game like that Sins of A Solar Empire looks really interesting if your willing to check it out.
There is a holiday for Guy Fawkes didnt he try to blow up parliment?
It is supposed to be out by the end of this year, but game delays are common and it might not be out till May of next year, however many game sites have claimed that the date will most likely be around Febuary.
I have heard quite a lot about this game and to say the least it looks like the future of a lot of gaming for it contains a lot of content yet is still small in size. Dont get me wrong its complexity is still quite large enough for endless hours of play.
That is quite a ship, cant wait to see it done
One thing i have seen about the game that has made me laugh for long periods of time, is the horrible translation from whatever language it was originally in.
Actually it takes more money to crack a larger and more advanced civilization.
Hah reminds me of a two turn war i had once but they never got to surrender i just wipped them off the map.
See its hard to support their decision because they vote after you do. Meaning they get to see which way you voted before they vote.
What you state is in some what truth, but your looking to far into a game, sure its thought provoking but in the end its a form of entertaiment and nothing more.
I have a simple question why discuss this? Yes, there is some truth to this but come on a united world government, human being cant stand being united. Were arguementative and violent beings, although we treasure society, we treasure only our society while destroying many others. The best thing we can hope for is that gradually regions of the world will unite into lose confederations like the EU then there maybe be some hope as to world peace.
