At present Favor Points are still stored on the computer, not server side. Negative scores can be reset, heck you can still give yourself as many Favor Points as you want if you know where the file is to edit. These points carry over to Online Pantheon.
Vanadrom
During this Beta, Time was Wasted, too much time. In my eyes, very little testing has actually been done because much of the game was in a stale, stagnet limbo for nearly five months without much testing going on. Beta 1 was perhaps the most effective phase of Beta because testers would openly use Hamachi to connect to one another and continue testing without servers. Beta 2 introduced a big mistake on the developers part. They shut down the LAN function and
Before you go forth and start posting about how "this" ability is too strong and how "that" demigod is too weak or over powered. Try to play the Demigod in various modes and situations. Just one or two games isn't enough, you really need to take some time and observe what your enemy is doing. Sure, you may realize that their tactics shut you down and the game is lost in the first few minutes. But then you have to counterbuild in some fashion. What is popular and functional is not 1v1
I will confirm that it appears to be a sound issue. Even with audio on Low Fidelity, there is simply too much happening. So, in order to help resolve the issue I turned off Music and Voice. This helped, but the Sound Effects are the what is causing this lag. My device is a Creative Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS with 2008 Drivers (up-to-date). I tested this by hovering the camera very close to the screen. When my Demigod wasn't near battle, I would get 20+ FPS with Fog of
Armor also doesn't reduce of the damage of the fireball.
This is not helpful, each bug needs to be reported in its own thread labled properly.
You should should be able to play this game just fine. Question, does your laptop use an AMD Processor?
Please don't post in this thread if your system "works". This is a thread about a rather new issue with Performance problems. Only post here if you're having those problems.
As seeing that the issue doesn't appear to be graphical in nature, as my Video devide has been updated with Feburary 17th 2009 NVidia Drivers and still drop to 3 FPS. I've done more toying around the with the sound device, and it seems what is killing my machine is an overload of layered sound effects even on Low Audio settings. We need more control on how many sound effects can be played at one time, else my system begins to freak out. This is an amendment
still nothing on my end too
2:31 PM We were having technical difficulties with the server 2:31 PM things are going better 3:03 PM still working on some technical issues
Doesn't that belong in it's own subject Sevenix? ^^ That changes the gameplay itself, not really a metagame function.
Introduction Now, Frogboy requested that we think up some ideas for some tournaments we may like to see in the game. Now, I for one have always been fan of cooperative contests which allow players to not only ally, but cooperate with a team to achieve a common goal. One common goal would be to gather the most land, and at the conclusion of the time period the alliance with the most land wins. That's how it is on the si
Up late aren't ya? I suppose since I can't sleep lately, I'll working on detailing an MMO Tournament I'd absolutely -love- to see for Demigod, and would add an extra level of cooperative depth to the game. Sleepless Night Paid Off: Demigod Ideas / [Tournament] The War of Trinity
Nice attempt there EpicBarrel, but sadly with ill success. I dumped the chache, and though it had a great deal of information in it - it wasn't the issue. Also, I don't run other tasks in the background when I play games. My CPU isn't the best, and I need as many resources as I can devote to the game as possible.
Yay. Now I have a deadline on my Gal Civ 2 project. I gotta get that done before Beta 3 or else I'll never finish my Mini-Expansion.
I meant for an MMO
True, but many MMOs in the US are just slight variations of the exact same thing. Sadly there are none like Monster Hunter here state side, if there was I'd be playing it.
Added some insights from Sven, posted a year ago on his blog. I just felt I'd bring this in, because it seems like cooperation with another company may help bridge the gaps of the issue he outlines.
I don't mind their quite right now. I'm working on more important things. :)
Monster Hunter fits better under Stardock's Gamer Bill of Rights. It's a very powerful and beaitiful game, but it requires surprisingly little to run prefectly on PCs. They didn't go all out, they've always done well turning very little into a whole lot. One thing people might missunderstand, is that Monster Hunter is not one of those boring Korean Hack-n-Slash games. It's a very action packed, critical thinking Japanese dragon hunting game. Big difference!
Well the biggest issues with Monster Hunter is that not very many people it exists. And those that do know it's around, really can't play it because it's pretty much only aviable on the PSP here in the States. The game has also had a lot of problems getting a solid online, something newer PSP titles will remedy this year. But that's just it, they'll still be PSP titles. There is no love for the PC version!
True, but when it comes to this title I see a lot of potential with it and Impulse. Since Impulse is one of the new engines of Stardock's product line, it'd be quite monumental to make a game that was sold on impulse and played via the Impulse Reactor. I know it seems far fetched, but the kind of support this game has isn't the normal 'gamer' kind as Spartan did point out. The PC version likely has a higher chance of success than the console version, and it i
