Zolion , the decision can be yours alone. Have a look at the forums and read. Choose the Empire that most suits your ambition. The Galactic Core is a great place to start. I won't say anymore because I am obviously bias towards the Empire I support.

I don't know - are there more medals to be had? I know that some get replaced as you play more games. I guess I could try for a 1st place medal, but the way I play that hardly seems likely, of course, once you get that it could be replaced by a former 1st place medal. I started small on cakewalk to get used to the engine and slowly worked up the galaxy sizes, you soon find it boring so up the diff level and before you know it your up to normal. I currently play normal/challenging level.
