Issues Updating w/ Impulse in Technical Stardock Forums

I have updated Sins of a Solar Empire and the update has finished.. but now Impulse just says "Verifying.." under the status, and the game cannot be launched on the new version through impulse. Are there any known causes/solutions to the problem?

Cinematic mode always on in Technical Sins Forums

I'm having a problem where Cinematic mode can't be disabled in game, even when the cinematic mode button is toggled off, or on. Any help/ideas to fix? (If it helps, I'm running a x32 Windows Vista OS)
