It's not a bug per-se. The ship shows up as a colony ship when I mouse over it. When I looked in the main viewer I saw the construct button was depressed. Didn't know how that came about, so I upgraded to colony ship and problem solved. Guess I need more time to get comfortable with the mechanics. Thanks for the posts. The main screen should have read "Constructor"
I saved, and did a reload, this system is off limits to me for some unknown reason. Don't really want to quit, as I have had 2 unfinished games before. They were due to mistakes on my part, not anything wrong with the game. I'm sure I understand this elementary process of : 1. Build a colony ship 2. Launch it 3. Populate it 4. When I click on the sun it says: 5 planets 2 habital 0 colonized planet owners: Nothing indicating otherwise when I click on the planet' ?????????
The planet is in my territory. I loaded my colony ship with 500. The system also has a size 4 planet that I cannot colonize as well. I did need life support on the colony ship to reach it. I also have a starbase right next to it. I don't see any message about it being too far as I've now got it surronded with 3 colony ships. I just dunno??????
I'm trying to colonize a planet called Weber 1 (class 10), not owned by another race. It's the last avaiable planet and I've tried with three diffent colony ships, no luck. What am I missing? I'm at the normal level with two alien races. Anybody run into this?

I'm just starting out with small to large galaxies and don't want to encounter problems when I'm ready for the Gigantic. Will I encounter problems (crashes or slowing down?)with my Video Card? I can't load a saved game since I upgraded with the bonus pack. I can started a new game, but there were things missiing in the gameplay: 1. I could not access the ship/planet screen. 2. I could not see the ship descriptions when scrolling over them while docked at my starbase. I saved the game, quit, and I get an error when trying to load it. Is there a bug in the bonus pack? Help! I had changed the resolution and found it in prefs.ini. I changed it back to 1024 x 768 and now everything works. Thanks!
I've been able to play one game of GCV2. I tried changing my options, restarted, and now I can't get past the main screen. I did a comple uninstall, and re-install and no luck. Help!
