Thanks for the quick reply! It's got to be an overheating laptop...good call. In regards to registering, my copy ONLY came with a serial number that starts with GC2 and contains dashes. 1) Recently bought Galactic Civilizations II new out of the box. Installed it fine, but the computer shuts down within 2 minutes of playing the game. 2) Thinking it’d help, I tried to register the game (to upgrade to v 1.2) and got an "invalid registration message".
