I had the same prob. I emailed the sdc peeps from the sdc email help and they emailed me a new serial that allowed me to update though the update engine continues to say that my email is not assoc with any serial. try to email them. THey got back to me in one day.
well, iv'e been playing for about 4 weeks and now I finally got the update to stardock just fine. But was I happy with that...no.. because the game kept sticking and frequently crashing. None the less, I got a great game going and today I couldnt load it at all; once I click the load button it went into the usual hints screen and then whtn its supposed to start the game, it gives me a error report and closes. I even tried to start a new game and that wouldnt work. So, I thought hey maybe it
thanks did that and got a new 1g memory expansion, much better though it still getts jittery every so often though i can fix it by depressing the windows button and reclicking the game at the bottom. One anoyying thing though, it still seems to completely crash every so often. tanks for the help
wwwaaait just a sec, I just started plaing and I'm wondering how some of you are buying survey mods on turns 5-6, im on like turn 40+ and still doing research! I started with my militery uped to 40%, after getting 3 scouts to find planets I colonized nearly all, now im slowly poping them and building on tiles. tech tre is also growing now so i selectively choose social vs no selection depending on how much i gotta make on the planet. what am I doing wrong?
arrrgggh...I've tried multiple times to reboot and downloading updates. Just after I select my gaming parameteres it goes to the "suggestions" screen that says loading and then whammo... black screen and back to my desk top. I've checked some of the posts here and made sure the debugg has the right graphics parameters. THe rest is gibberish....someone pls help?
