Select the game in your Steam Library list, right-click and select Properties. Click the Local Files tab and then the Browse Local Files button. Steam will open up an Explorer window to where it has the game installed.
Doh,! now I feel bad! lol It worked I found it. thank you
http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=3387 There's a link to the 2005 Visual C++ Redistributable...that is the one needed by Sins... I would only install it through the provided link if none of the above solutions (or something suggested by SD support) does not help you.....
Thanks but there is still that other problem.... Where is sins when you got it through steam?
Please navigate to the following folder: Sins of a Solar Empire Rebellion\redist Run the 'REDIST.EXE' or 'VCREDIST_x86.EXE' file within there to reinstall \ repair the redist. Once that has been done, try to play the game again.
I got this game on steam and I can't find that dir. I also tried doing a search for the file and my sys says it's not on my hd
Well my drivers are up to date and it happens when I try and save after about 1hr of play. My sys and vid have more than enough mem and power. The cpu is a i7 and the vid has 2 gpu's. I didn't crash like this much prior to 1.5. Now since it crashes all the time. That has to be a clue.
I'm also getting them now. I'm running the beta ver 1.05 I think it is. It happens a lot. Anytime I play. Sofar ever time I'm zoomed it. My drv are up to date and it didn't dump much before I dl the new beta ver. win 7 64bit i7 940 12GB ram ati 4870x2 So are you saying there is no help?
