For me, any one that involves the Mirror Universe, particularly In a Mirror, Darkly of Enterprise. My mouth dropped open when Zefran Cockram (or Z.C., as I like to call him) killed the Vulcan, and I almost cheered when the Defiant destroyed the Avenger. Now my fellow Trekkies, tell us your favorite episodes! Only one rule here: No flaming other posters because they like a series or episode you don't.
General Homsar
1. SPACES!!!!!! 2. Wouldn't "Monsters: Scourge of History and Fiction" be more appropriate?
What you are all missing is that it isn't a traditional invasion. It is an extermination. When the fight is done, the population is what is left of your invasion force. You've killed billions of people. You don't need to worry about target selection aside from leaving a few important buildings. Killing everything non-selectively can be pretty quick.
But it seems unlikely that an invading force would turn its guns on a potential source of cheap labor or happily massacre u
Give whatever civ you're playing as luck bonuses an/or choose the Universalists as you political party. That should end your dilemma.
It looks like snow....Day After Tomorrow anyone?
Someone posted alternate textures for Earth on the site, and one of them was Earth at the end of that movie. That was awesome.
Yep, it's addictive. We have family visiting for the holidays, and the gamer-geek daughter noticed I was playing the TA beta. She got interested, took over my computer when I went to bed, and stayed up the entire night playing the TA Korx on a large map, Normal difficulty. She won the game with an alliance victory. No sleep at all, but she crashed early the following night. She customized the Korx... renamed them, and made their UI and all their ships PINK!! She used the ship des
Pretty cool, but can we see the Eastern Hemisphere?
I scanned, and no viruses. It WAS raining, it might have been a power surge.
I was just playing TA, when suddenly the screen was a jumble. I'll run a virus scan, but has anyone else had this problem?
Yes, that'd be fine.
Thanks. I'll take some computer classes, and with a little luck, you should see the mod!
Start mass reprisals against P.O.W.'s. Glass it, ala the Halo novels. Probobly those. :d
About the video clips: Let's say I wanted to replace the video you get when you first successfully invade a planet with WW2 stock footage. If it was public domain, would it be approved?
Why not just destroy the entire planet? or start mass reprisals against P.O.W.'s? or glass it, ala the Halo novels?
Bump. I have a TON of other ideas, but some are better than others. So, I will put them here so I can sort through them to find the best ones and not forget any. For that reason, nothing in this bump is a request....yet. My ideas: Since we already have Space Marines, (Or soldiers, if you're a glass-half-full person,) it makes sense (to me) to have at least one of the following military sets: A pilot. There are some cool things you could do here, such as maki
I will now give out a complement and a suggestion. First, the complement. (And some minor mitpicking): Cool story, but try to hit Enter when someone new is speaking. Second, the suggestion: This would make a great custom campaign, which makes TA's release date seem that much farther off. :p
Colonel Aleksandr Kososlov shuddered in his olive uniform as two shuttlecraft towing a Korx escape craft neared the hangar. Why didn't I die back there, he thought. The image of Johnson slamming into the wall with a sickening crunch as the Barbados was hit came to mind. The damn Korx killed him like he was nothing. A desire to kill the Korx, to torture them, to smash their faces in with the butt of his rifle came over him. They're injured. It would be so easy... s
I'm just curious about the custom campaign editor in TA. Has it been dropped, or was it never there in the first place?
"The Drath, as a playable civilization, won't be in GalCiv III for the reasons you stated." Hold it. They're not in GC3 in ANY form?!? That seems a little...drastic, don't you think? Maybe you could make them a minor race, or only playable in sandbox games...or maybe you could make them slaves/servants/submitters to the Altarians. But don't completely remove them.
As we all know, jewlry is used for decoration when designing ships. One thing that has irked me, however,is that I can't put nose art on my ships. There are many possibilities: 1. Squadron Insingnia There are tone of possibilities: shark's mouths, (a nod to us Flying Tigers fans,) marks of real-world air forces, (I imagine that a Luftwaffe cross would look great on my F-10s.) 2. Civ logos Sorry, but I really hate the logo jewlry the game provides. Jus
My custom campaign takes place in a paralell universe as well. The set-up is as follows: The player assumes the role of the Yor, who are defenders of truth and justice, and must wgae a war against the evil races of the galaxy. (Which is everyone else.)
Wait, is Beadley launching nukes at his own planet, or something else?
"Launching tiny fighters doesn't really make that much sense given the distances involved. You're better off with a missile when your target is a nice healthy 3,000 kilometers away from you." Nut attaching said fighters as parasite craft to lower-grade ships (destroyer escorts, frigates, ect.) could provide a small advantage, or at least stall the enmy until you can jump to hyperspace. ;)
Sword of the Universe? Quantum Deconstructor? Gravity Cancellation Beam? Plasmatic Polymerization Device? Give-The-Enemy-Religion Gun? What about those?
One of my favorite scenes from Patton: (Russian General speaks to an interpretor) Interpretor: General Zhukov wants to know if you'd like to share a vodka. Patton: Tell him there is no way in hell I'm sharing a drink with some Russian S.O.B. Go on, tell him...word for word. (Interpretor relays message to Zhukov, who suddenly looks VERY cheesed off, then speaks to the interpretor.) Interpretor: General Zhukov says he thinks you're a S.O.B, too."
Annother one of my faveorite scenes is from Saving Private Ryan, when the German kills the American with the knife, and he says, "Shhh...shhh." That one kind of scared me. BTW, are faveorite scenes from TV shows legit on this thread, or do I have to start a new one?
