Start booting with an iron foot! When I host, I realize you'll never catch all of the smurfs, but seriously. If I even suspect somoene's a smurf, or see a name that I know is a smurf, "Eeet getz zee BOOT!". This includes my own clanmates. That's definitely gotten me a lot of WTF?! messages.
i would love to do that but what if someone is actually new? then all you are doing is assisting to shrink the already ameba sized communnity. _|~Uber
I don't know if Flipkik was implicating me in any of this, but for the record I don't drag out decided games. If anything, I am all too eager to bolt from games that have been decided so that the next one can get started.
dont worry sanchez its not you. i can vouch from the few games we have played together that you wont drag it out. The real problems is tyr and some other guys, (i think it is berz, siddy, maybe JJ and Gini) they all pretend to be tyr by having a name
CLANS FAIL
i wouldnt go that far, as much as i love playin with my clan mates i realize that to be fair teams must be split up evenly so usually i will do my best to balance them. I think most of the people in my clan think the same way. _|~Uber
If you're playing quick start, this shouldn't be a problem. Scout, figure out what each planet is. Build your two labs, and send about five frigs (2 lf, 2 scout, 1 colonizer) to the roid, and a couple frigs with your colonizer. This shouldn't be a problem because you get so much money early on with quickstart
sometimes its better to not send any frigs with your colony frigate, if you send your colonizer alone and colonize the roid, just build a turret right next to the
Yeeeeah, 9/10 this isn't true for myself. It's one of the reasons I hate capping. There are so many smurfs out there ( yes, I'm not helping the problem by doing it myself, but when in rome... ) that I seem to have the worst of luck and always pick actual newer players rather than smurfs. If it was me getting an unfair fight, and my allies kicking ass, sure, I'd be glad to take it for the team, but...THAT....DOESN'T...HAPPEN! I like a challenge. I hate a certain failure. Big
60 scouts and 20 lfs? Go pure light frigs!
I would have but he was 4 jumps from me so by the time i got to him he already had illums so i needed scouts :p. but i still rolled him just the same
Poeple are using scouts A LOT more now. It's kinda ridiculous.
lol people are using scouts to the point that they are rediculous. how can you counter a fleet of 60 scouts and 20 lfs 15 mins into the game? you can make illum spammers go down very easily now.

basically i beleive the balance is far better than previous patches. Just earlier this night i rolled an illum spammer(which used to be a pretty big deal). Alot of skilled players use scouts on the rush becuase of how they counter lrfs. Lfs are far better as they dont die to lrfs as quickly as before so they are very useful early and late game. But as qu4r said the vasari are weaker. they still have much of their strength but the egg is weaker. And overall do to lf buffs vasari have a
As a player of vassari I've noticed that I don't need the extractor upgrades. I'm always credit starved and just fine with metal and crystal. BTW, while it's a late to get tech I always grab improved fleet communications from the military side.
actually extractor upgrades are the most important econ advancement on the vasari civic tree because they ahve to wait for 4 labs to get trade ports up. you can get 4 upgrades for extractors (both metal and crystal) with only 3
The egg nerf was a slap on the wrist. Hardly anything to get excited about. In my first 1.04 game I killed a Marza on the rush with my egg. It's the same lethal ability as always; maybe slightly less lethal, but underestimate it and you will lose caps.
the egg kills frigates at around the same pace but Cap ships can survive longer making it a tiny bit weaker against them. But it is still very deadly like Darvin said _|~Uber
Not to mention the worst of the capital ships.
I have to disagree with you, Vasari have amazing caps they just have very specialized rolls. And vasari are very strong, they just play differently than other races, like amish said you need to grab the nutrals but you cant spam assilents, or any type of ship. Vasari more than any other race need to build a balanced fleet. On maps without nutrals vasari are weaker than other races but they are not hopeless,
1) Is it just me, or are vasari capital ships kind of dumb/weak comparatively? And beyong that, them in general..I love the idea of teleporting around and being extremely offensive.. but their ships seem so weak for their cost, and their econ doesnt really shine in any way...? (other than, i guess, deleting my own ships for less resources?)
Darvin answered the questions pretty good, but i have to clarify more on this one. Vasari Caps are probably the best in the game: t

end game you need 8 donovs with sheild restore [e digicons]:P[/e] . you know how hard it is to kill my caps with only 2 [e digicons];P[/e] . but really advent have the hardest time keeping their caps alive because they dont have any huge healing bonuses like, TEC shield restore, or nanite armour on thier overseers.
IMO this ability will be still underpowered. It is extremely situational and specialized skill, and not very strong in it's job. At lower levels of this skill antimatter negation and cooldown rate penalty are still to low to make it good alternative to Power Surge/Jam weapons. DS acting as interrupt is of course good addon, buit it is still not enough. Combination of reduced activation chance and pulse beam triggering will give plus-minus same chance of activating ablity. Antimatter ne
