I won't be able to help with mod'ing but I'll play the hell out of your mod... I'm hoping its the best mod yet!

Seems that someone already foresaw this issue and created a map which he calls a campaign, you can download it here on this web site: [link="https://www.wincustomize.com/skins.aspx?skinid=90&libid=70"]WWW Link[/link] So the whole debate is over now... someone mod'ed a campaign.
This seems to be a trend in the PC gaming industry for quite sometime to release a game and then patch the hell out of later after getting all of the community feedback. This almost gives way to a "2nd Beta" version which is actually the real release... then 6 months down the road at patch 1.0xx the game is playable. I have often skipped buying a PC game until the expansion comes out because of this. This game I didn't, but I did noticed it was released last week and they already patched the
I dont' even think that you need to make a case for multiplayer, it should come with the game. Also play by email is a blast as well. Where were this options? THey belong in a game like this period.
Stargay dosn't even compare to Battlestar Galactica, but if I ever lose cable I admit I would watch Stargay reruns on FOX.
Final Fantasy Tactics IMHO was one of the best games ever made, I would love to see a multiplayer redux!
I would like to see a Star Trek mod, Federation, Klingons, Romulans, Vulcans, Borg, etc. That would be bad ass. I really wish there was a mod that could create Heroes. That is one thing I really miss from some other games, giving the game a bit of a RPG feel to it in certain instances. If someone were really feeling nerdy, a Spelljammer Mod (the old Dungeons and Dragons Campaign setting) would also be pretty intersting.
I upgraded my computer after a 170 hour Civ 3 game, I bet half of that time was loading and waiting for computers to move. And yes it was a HUGE map and I did win
ZOMG! I just quite World of Warcraft after it sucked something like 1 and a 1/2 years out of my life. Before WoW was CIV3 (totally awsome). For casual gaming I play Dead or Alive 3 on my x box. Civ3 was a classic and I think I played it for almost 4 years. That is getting your money's worth. I would like to say I got my money's worth from WoW, but ... LOL I spent alot on that game. THis is the first PC game I've bought since WoW was realsed.
Just curious who the Star Trek Fans are. I love having my Star Trek DVD's on in the backgound while I play. And since this is a Star Trek thread, do you give a thumbs up or a thumbs down to Enterprise (the latest Star Trek to go off the air). Personally I thought it was great, and I'll tie it with The Next Generation.
I'm 29, played my first strategy game at age 19....MOO2 and CIV2. Hooked ever since.
If this is a major problem for you take the racial boost to moral at the beginig of the game.
When you decide to go to war with another civilization, plan ahead. Make ships that are specific to certain oppenents and upgrade to whatever else you need after the war is over. Spy on the other civilization to know what they have, and/or just speak to them and see what techs they have that you don't.
Hell Yeah!
Yes I had this problem with red. I was a playable game and I won, but it was annoying, I would have found it nice to be able to change color mid game.
I was really curious about it maybe being a galacitic week versus a Earth week, since when you play alien races you would still be going by earth time. But thanks for your posts.
So is the game turn a galatic week? I dont' see my civ growing by a billion in a week. And if it is a variation of a week, what does a week equal in Earth time?
SOunds like a problem, miniturization should work... I would hope they are aware,
