My wife's younger brother spent the weekend at our house. So I entertained him (my excuse to get some gaming time) by playing GH2 and Rockband with him on my 360. I also spent some time on the Political Machine 2008 forums, but didn't actually get a chance to play a round of the actual game. Maybe one of these weeknights I'll be able to get on and play some multiplayer. I have several games sitting in my stack (both PC and 360) that I have barely even touched. One of these days

Kaeman, you don't have to post the same question in multiple threads in order to get an answer. You can use Impulse to download the game.

Kaeman, you don't have to post the same question in multiple threads in order for us to see it. As your confirmation email probably states, you can use Impulse to download the game.
I hate having to install more software just to d/l and install games. Irritating.
After you install impulse once, you'll be able to download updates for the game, as well as any other game that you can get from us, and other vendors (more being added all the time). There are also other apps besides games. And a bunch of other features besides just downloading and installing apps. With more features in the works. Stay tuned, we'll make it worth stic

hrmm, weird. Can you post your new debug.err for us? now that you have the new driver. Also, you can play with Full Screen off and Hardware Mouse on, and see if that helps, either or both. Turning off both "Map Glow" and "Character Outlines" can also help performance.
DivineWrath: are you saying that Boogiebac may be trying to steal credit for your post, and Charles's work?

BoogieBac: Whenever I can get away with it
You Bastard! haha, jk. Actually, DivineWrath, just because one person posts a change log doesn't mean that they made all the changes listed in it. In fact, they are almost never the only person to have made the changes. :HOT:
It seems like a video problem, but being the computer hardware novice that I am...I need some help...
Instead of giving you a fish, let's see if I can teach you to fish (ie. look for updates to your driver)
Operating System: Windows XP Professional (5.1, Build 2600) Service Pack 2 System Manufacturer: Dell Computer Corporation System Model: Dimension 4500S Card Name: Intel(R) 82845G/GL/GE/PE/GV Graphics Controller Manufacturer: Intel Corporation

Bear with us Josh. You haven't mentioned whether or not you had updated your video drivers (as was suggested). I took the liberty of finding the exact ones you need. Here's a link to the drivers . I just went to GateWay's website and picked your system out of the dropdown menus. Download the drivers and give the game anot

When you run the game, a file gets written out to "\My Documents\My Games\PolMachine2008". The file will be called "Debug.err" and it is overwritten each time you run the game. The file can be opened with notepad. Can you post the contents of the file here so that we can take a look at what might be happening. We'll try to get you up and running asap. Thanks, ~C

Yeah, looks like your drivers are old.
Manufacturer: NVIDIA Chip Type: GeForce FX 5700 Ultra Driver Date: 8/2/2005 16:35:00
Here's a link to a newer driver (May 16, 2008) for your GeForce FX 5700 Ultra. If you follow the link it'll take you to the download page for the drivers. Click the "Products Supported" tab and you'll see that your exact video card is listed.

If you give a speech or create an ad "against" a topic, then naturally your position would become a bigger negative number. In this case, the topic is "High Gas Prices". So everytime you say you are against the topic, you'll get a bigger negative number - indicating that you are REALLY against it.

Definitely get an update for your video driver.
Debug Message: Error flipping back buffer to primary buffer. Debug Message: Device lost
Something happened when these two lines were written, most likely an Alt+Tab or the game lost focus because you clicked on another program perhaps. Another thing you can do, in addition to getting new drivers, is to turn Full Screen Mode off in the game options. Running in non-full screen allows you to click on

I would like to know more about the problem you are having so we can get it fixed. Change the resolution one more time and let the problem occur again. Close the game then go to "\My Documents\My Games\PolMachine2008\Debug.err". You can open the file with notepad. Please post the contents of that file here so we can try to figure out what is happening, and also get some stats about your computer. Assuming you've already done the above, I'll now answer your question... The optio

To open the ports for multiplayer, you need to go to Control Panel->Windows Firewall. FOR VISTA: There will then be a link to "allow a program through the firewall". If you click the link, then you can either add a program, or add a port. FOR XP: Go to the "exceptions" tab. In either case, you'll want to add ports, so click the "Add Port" button. Add UDP port 6000 and then UDP
