It may not be relevant, but if I edited somewhere in the middle of the article or comment and did not move the cursor back down to the bottom of the page before clicking submit I lost the information below the cursor. So now what I do before subitting, is hi-lite all the text press control c just incase. hope you can follow my befuddled way of explaining things!
