Very wise words, they would have been useful in my youth. She is lucky to have a parent who is so insightful. I wrote a letter to my daughter when she was a year old (just in case I happened to die and someone else had to bring her up! Pessimist!) The letter was advice about the possible pitfuls in life and advice on how to deal with and approach certain things.
