Greywar I agree that there should be limits. I do my best to keep my kids from being too noisy. They can be pretty loud, but I expect them to be somewhat noisy when it comes to things like pools. When was the last time you saw kids quiet in a pool? If people don't really like the noises kids make they should move to places where children are not allowed. This complain did not seem like something that warranted police or a judge. They are kids for Christ sake. This is American, now kids

With our fifth, that changed. My new rule is, "when your family is large enough that you buy a van out of NECESSITY, rather than convenience, you qualify". Now that we have six, we're firmly entrenched in the large family culture (and have acquired the semi legend status that accompanies it...lol!) Six? How do you do it? I only have 2 and I feel I have enoug, though I probably would like to try for a girl, but if I get a boy oh well, my genes will just

(Citizen)Gideon MacLeish June 22, 2007 09:52:32Reply #8 Look I know you mean it all in a good way. You're a smart guy and not a jerk like some on here when they open their mouths. I'll admit that I could freshen up on some things but it's not always an opinion for me. I've been with my childrens mother for 10 years now and she only started working recently because it just became to overwhelming for me. Working 2 jobs, barely getting to see my kids while

Doesn't that just annoy the hell out of you having to post these disclaimers so the loony left does not jump on you because if you do not there will perceive you as some sore of bigot or racist! Or blanketing, or stereotyping, or generalizing. Sad is that I expect this not only from the looney left but from just about anyone, even those who agree with me.

I didn't say that, Charles. I said it should be discussed further. True. You did. See, and this is where you should watch how you post things. THIS is a good statement; the other one seemed to indicate a disrespect for SAHM's, something I'll say upfront I won't tolerate. I guess I have a very unusual way of expressing myself. I never really mean to insult anyone when I express an opinion. I'm usually ve

Only because we don't have the stomach for revolution. Which is why we will basically do nothing as our society deteriorates. I guarantee you, if the possibility of being tried and hanged for treason existed (and it IS provided for in the Constitution), our leaders would act much more responsibly. But they can act like idiots because the worst they have to fear is being forced into early retirement and the massive pensions and speaking stipends that accompany it. Nixon

I don't mean to suggest this is a reasonable proposal, but I DO mean to suggest that we need to do SOMETHING to get our priorities back in order. Day cares aren't a way to raise a child (nor, in my opinion, are state run schools, but that's a topic for another blog). Our entire CULTURE is becoming impoverished by generations of children who don't know their parents. The proposal to pay SAHM's is, in my opinion, not a GOOD proposal, but it is SOMETHING. And in

public schools are only one educational option Not when you can't afford paid for schools. not in my house Not in mine either because parents farm their children out to the government. Homeschooling is legal in all fifty. Again, if you can afford it. Besides it takes away the "learning to get along with others and having fund as a kid" part. <di

And this is the world I have always fear since I was young of bringing any children into. Teachers having sex with students Abortions a dime a dozen Worst Education system Gangs running a muck Terrible Park maintenance Child predators thru the revolving door system Parents killing their own children Speeding thru neighborhood, running over kids and leaving the scene Both parents working to pay the bills, no one to watch the kids Daycares and baby-sitt

I think we need to use something that is already in abundance, something that replenishes itself on a daily basis, I think solar power and water are the best alternatives we have. Water evaporates and turns back into water again, solar power is infinate till the sun dies. I find it strange that these sources are ignored so much. I guess if someone can't make a 100% profit on these types of alternative (since no one can charge you for how much solar power you use or they can't change you extra fo

I agree with this Charles, but geeeze we really need to make these so called SANTUARY cities stop that practice, it is not only dangerous to the citizens of the country, it is thumbing their noses at the Federal government. Thank you. I mean think about it, if the Gov't does very little to stop them from coming in and the States do even less by not doing anything once they are here, who is actually doing anything for us, the people? I feel like I am payi

But you do have to admit, if he could stop it entirely, he would. Otherwise he wouldn't label it "unethical" and "wrong". People portray him that way because of what he's said, and his blanket pronouncements of the "sin" of stem-cell research make him an easy target. I don't have to admit anything cause I am not Bush so I do not know exactly what he is thinking but then neither does anyone else on this site. He probably would, who knows, but that is not

I think we should have a stipend given to all stay at home Moms, based on number of kids(with diminishing returns for each). I think professional mothers (thanks JD Robb) should be paid as such, and by the government, because it's a service to society. The hard part is putting a number on that service, and enforcing it properly. I can see abuse in the future, but I don't know how to stop it. But, they're already abusing the welfare programs, so what's the dif

it is beginning to be "pick an issue, any issue" and the division begins.. sadly the America I Love so deeply is falling apart at the seems. The lets all pull together spirit that made this country great is GONE, forever I am afraid. We have gone from a country by the people, for the people to a by those we vote in, for themselves. Politicians seem intent on divided Americans in order to gain votes. That is so sad. Today we have a "2 wrongs make

There are 500,000 pre-embryos frozen in this country and more being added to that number every year. I agree that instead of destroying them, let them be used for research. The bill requires that the stem cells come from embryos that would be discarded so the idea of women being paid to abort children for research is bogus. There may not have been substantive advances from this research YET. They have been working with a very limited number of already existing stem cel

How interesting of someone who gets so excited posting only bad news. No wonder I don't read this garbage anymore. He has admitted that his articles are not accomplishing anything since he is now writing in bold.

if it gets to the people it is supposed to get to. i am saying it won't what i mean is that they will throw 10 million or what ever and only 1 million will get to the people it is supposed to go to Well I guess then drugs, alcohol, corner stores AND politicians will benefit.

Col just has not accepted that for the past 4 years we have been at war and that people die during wars. He thinks that mentioning every soldier that dies will somehow change that or change us. We know what happens during a war, while the death of our soldiers hurts us tremendously, it is what we gain from it that we want to hear. If our soldiers died for nothing that is tragic but if they die for something worth dying for than their deaths were not a waste. We may not have gone for all the righ

Since my arguments sight the facts you are saying the facts are not correct. That is not arguing with me. If the data had originated with me you could argue that MY FACTS were not correct. However when I sight facts from the Pentagon, or AP, OMB, CBO, GAO or the Treasury dept and you say what I post is not correct you are saying those sources are not correct. YOU are the STUPID person. Thank you for proving my point. The irony is that no one he
