Will those pains in the posterior did it again. About 8 weeks after peace they tried to extort money and techs from me. I told them were they could put it and 4 weeks later they decided they could just come in and take my planets. Well me being a little slow actually disbanded half my military thinking I could rebuild my economy and research some techs for at least 4-6 months before taking them on again. They managed to actually blitz this time and take one of my planets near the periphery. I to

I mean these guys pretty much don't quit. I am on my first game on anything but beginner difficulty and I got placed in a large cluster of stars right by then in the bottom corner of the map with the next closest group being the Torians about 1/3rd of the map seperated from use (maybe 25-30pc of empty space between us and them) on a gigantic map with abundent everything and normal research. Those Korx hit me early. They declared war after about a year, but was a bit of a mistake on thei

I now have my new fast frieghter. After dragging my heels on creating a new frieghter I finally did. These suckers are fast, 32pc a week. I have all the trade goods and most of the galactic achievements, so this helps out with some speed in there. It also mounts (if memory serves) 6 Warp IV modules and its trade package. On the large galaxy I am on right now it can basically cross the whole thing in 2.5 turns. Of course no way I can pack a warship with engines like that. It would be so

Sounds good to me as well. I like the game, but to add some spice and variety it would be nice to add some more war based techs and maybe even another tech tree. Sure more time to take to research things, but that can be lots of fun and add more variety. Another fun thought is being able to build a 4th class of space station. How about colony station? You can add modules with a constructor ship that allow you to build things on it like on a planet. So you start with it like a basic colo

I usually go with the naming scheme Tiny hull: Fighter MK_ Small hull: Corvette MK_ Medium hull: Frigate MK_ if it is a fast ship with moderate weapons/armor, Destroyer MK_ if it is more biased towards weapons/armor then speed Large hull: Light cruiser MK_ if it is again more balanced toward speed, Heavy Cruiser MK_ if it is more balanced toward guns/armor Huge hull: Battle cruiser MK_ if it is more speed based, Battleship MK_ if it is more guns/armor balanced.

Yeah I had something similar last night. Currently I am playing on a medium map. The Torians were picking on my allies so I declared war on them. They sent me the usual snoty reply that they were going to feed me to their giant microwave or something of the sort. At the time I had 4-5 small corvettes sitting around with only Laser II on them. I had been out researching everyone for a long time (double the nearest races research) and had my economy maxed (10,000bc save and earning about 300bc a t
