Ships fire after being destroyed in Bug Reports Stardock Forums

It is incredibly frustrating seeing a ship you've destroyed and watched blow up and disappear fire from empty space to destroy your ships. Next time anyone goes into a battle watch the scrolling combat text and then watch the screen and you'll see that they don't coincide. If a ship is destroyed, that should be the end of it, it shouldn't fire even in the process of blowing up. If anyone has the same problem please post.
