I plan to upgrade, if for no other reason then to keep my computer skills current. Right now, I have 98. Windows ME didn't have any new features that I really needed, and Microsoft announced that Windows XP was coming out a long time ago, so I never upgraded to ME.

Ni hao = hello Ni hao ma = How are you? Ni shuo ying wen ma? = Do you speak English? Wo shuo zhong wen shuo de bu tai hao = I don't speak Chinese very well.
I have some free source code links bookmarked. Looking at their examples is mostly how I learned JavaScript. http://www.javascriptsource.com http://www.javascript.com http://scriptsearch.internet.com/JavaScript/ http://webdeveloper.earthweb.com/pagedev/webjs
Ni hao, ni hao ma? Ni shuo ying wen ma? Wo shuo zhong wen shuo de bu tai hao. That's most of the Chinese I remember. I can write some of the characters, but have also forgotten many of the symbols I learned.

Interesting. Thanks. I believe there is supposed to be a link to a FAQ page. It says something like "If you're uploading files for the first time, read this" but there's no working hyperlink.
Versions of Windows from 98 and up include the option to view your desktop as a web page, thus enabling jpgs and gifs to be used as backgrounds. Why do we have to convert wallpaper files to bitmaps? I think we should have the option to just upload a jpg or gif file. Most graphic programs these days allow for easy file conversions. Plus, web formats take up less space on your hard drive.
Yes, it's a virus. I got two of these today and one last week. The big tip-off was the huge file size and two extensions, one being executable, which varied. I've seen .bat, .lnk (never seen that one before but my Visual Basic 6 compiler had it in the help section), and .exe. I was suspicious and did not open the attachments, and deleted the file immediately. Also I got the first one saying "I send you a budget for your approval..." I was a student intern web designer at the time, no one wo
Tried editing the file in notepad, the text still looks weird when I load the skin in WindowBlinds. I think it's a glitch, but whether the glitch is in Skin Studio or Window Blinds, I don't know. All I know is that the font changes ok in the preview, but not in reality.
I use Paint Shop Pro and have been using it since version 4. It's easy to use, makes great graphics and costs just under $100 US. Paint Shop Pro is compatible with Photoshop Plug-ins (like the Kai's Power Tools series). Bryce is great for 3D graphics, but it's not cheap (around a couple hundred dollars). Photoshop is used by graphics professionals. It's very good but expensive, and not as easy to learn. That's just the tip of the iceberg for software programs, b
I couldn't get any of the effects (height, weight, italics etc) to work. The font kept resizing to the point where it was off the buttons when I loaded the skin in WindowBlinds, so I ended up just changing text colors instead. Anyone else have this problem and know how to fix it? Can it be changed in the code or is it just a software glitch? Please let me know. Thanks.
Being familiar with programming does help. The code in the code window reads like an ini file, but you don't need to use that right away if you don't want to. You do need some sort of graphics program that can save files as bitmaps. Windows comes with a free one. There are other, better programs out there if you want more graphic effects.
Microsoft Visual C++ has a cursor maker. I've played around with it at work. It's not very good, though, it only seems to offer basic colors. But it saves files in .cur format, so I guess it's better than nothing. If anyone knows how to get more colors to work in it, let me know.
