I got a crash when I played as Yor or Drengin, but not as Thalan, when starting the game when it looked like it was about to show the map. After playing around a bit, I was able to play as Yor, but only if I chose Thalan appearance. I couldn't get the Drengin to work, though. This was new as of 2.03; previous versions I had no trouble.
I've been unable to play any of the betas! They always freeze in the screen after you choose opponents and where (in previous non-beta versions) it was generating the gameworld; it never (well almost never -- see below) gets to the map where I can start to play (never means 2 to 5 minutes, when I run out of patience). Am I just not waiting long enough? I end up killing the game with Task Manager (which says it has 0 percent cpu usage). I am connected to the internet wh
I recently updated Twilight of the Arnor to patch 2.03 and tried to start a new game. After going through the setup screens, the game shut down as soon as it should have shown the map. I tried changing resolution, anti-aliasing, and different video drivers with no luck. I'm running on Vista 64 bit. I tried later on the same computer logged in as another user, and it worked fine.
