Hello All - I have a reproducable bug on version 1.21.017 (Pro) using two laptops playing Vanguard. I can launch and play both games normally, but after 2-3 minutes I am unable to rotate the screen using either my left or right mouse button once I have moved over to the second system to cast a spell and moved back to the primary system. Does that make sense. I can play the game normally so long as I dont access the second system and use the keyboard while there.

I just upgraded one of my home systems to RedHat 9 and I found this site on the web. As a ODNT subscriber, I found it interesting that someone has written a Perl script to port Stardock's CursorXP Cursors into a format that can be used in Linux. For those who don't know, the new XFree 4.3.0 has the ability to use customized cursors. Here's an excerpt from the site: For end users there are more visible changes apparent as well. For starters, XFree86 now has the Xcursor

I recently migrated my primary home PC from WXP to RedHat 7.3 and so far I'm very happy with the results. Email and web browsing and pretty much the same between the two. The main reason I switched is that with the release of WineX 2.1 (another subscription based company!) I can play most of my Windows games on Linux (Warcraft, Starcraft Half Life, etc.) I initially tried Linux back in 1999 and found it too difficult to setup and run. Based on my expierences so far wi

Motion.... You sure on the XP Pro thing? I just installed LogonStudio on a network connected XP Pro box (has ctrl-alt-del screen) and the logon screen does not change. It stays the default. All the screenshots I've seen are either XP Home looking or XP Pro in a workgroup configuration.

As a long time Stardock supporter, I would like to see some of the rules that were put into place on the Stardock newsgroups enforced here. The main reason I have been active in the SD newgroups going on 3 years now, is that everyone (pretty much) is civil to each other. When someone gets out of hand, they are immediately told by a moderator to clean or their language or to refrain from personal attacks. That doesn't seem to be the case on Wincustomize. I agree with 1Renegade

I thought this was exclusive from Subscribers only? I checked out the link and it doesn't really go into much detail about the differences between the non-subscriber SB users and the subscribers. I thought the primary reason of subscribing (besides supporting the communtiy and Stardock) was that you then were able to use SB exclusively. If people have access to SB and don't have to pay the subscription, they don't have much incentive to ponie up the 19.95 (other than the 100mb

If they hack to delete mp3's what's to stop them from installing spyware or some other ad serving program or web tracker while their on the system. Heck, while their at it they could mine the person's cookies to find out where they've been so they can get spam....

This just ocurred to me. What happens when they target someone who is doing this while they are at work? Say, They they work for a large company or the federal government. They are behind a firewall. What happens when they hack a government firewall or Fortune 500 company to target a system the P2P user doesn't own? What happens if they destroy sensitive company or government information? Say the P2P person works for Microsoft or the

Unbelievable.... While I don't use this type of service myself, I am very troubled by the thought of these out of control organizations having the power and ability and legal right to do this type of thing. This is not right and there HAS to be another way to solve this problem. If this law passes, they are no better than the common hacker or virus writer IMO. The most troubling aspect of the whole thing is the idea that they will be exempt from any damage ove

I'm sure there are quite a few Texan who visit this site (I am one) that will take offense to your statement. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/sb.gif" border=0 ALI

Interesting. I just performed a search for "Work while bent" and found it in the search results. I was able to view the skin without error. SB did not crash. When I opened the Nextstart library and scrolled to the skin and hovered, SB crashed. For me it looks to happen only when I hover over the specifice library (to include the "all updates" pop-up. The skin search window works fine. <img src="htt

I am also expierencing the SB disappearing trick. I first noticed it roughly 4 days ago. I don't think it was present when .98 first came out. Maybe there was a change to the Wincustomize backend that is causing this. I can reproduce on demand. There is a Nextart skin called "Work While Bent". When I hover over the title to view the comments, SB crashes (dissapears) and I must relaunch. Check it out and see if it happens to you...... John <A HREF="https://www.winc

My expierence with this has good and bad news. Good news: I am an ODNT, CursorXP, Drengin, and Wincustomize subscriber. When I was cross-referenced my level was set to 4. Bad news: I sign into Wincustomize using SkinBrowser. I first went to WinCustomize (before executing the email link) using IE and the top right of the page said "Welcome Citizen C-Rat", when I executed the link in t

WOW!!! Let it fregin go people. Everyone's a critic - almost everyone's a whiner..... I've been a Stardock supporter goin on 2 1/2 years now and have been a regular on the NG's during that time. It seems that almost all the gripes included in this thread (excluding GUI) have been rehashed SO SO SO many times. If you don't like Stardock move on to somewhere else. I personally think there a
