I think they removed it because you should care about when you attack. It was too easy to get some archers, whittle the enemy down, run away when they get close, rinse and repeat.

Umm think of it this way your making little towns and they later form together to make districts of a much larger city. I actually like that I can customize how my city looks verses civ 5 where every 20 pop city looks about the same and the look is beyond my control

You prob need to make more scouts. Make 1 for each branch from your starting location at the beginning. Also don't forget you only need 3 fame to get your first hero this means generally don't waste your tower to get your first hero. Make a cleric (building) and kill 1 group of enemies (or something like that) to meet the first mark. If your primary city is way out of the way then make your secondary city your focus. As long as the number of enemies is balanced for the map size you sh

I don't mind the playing the hand that is dealt to me mindset but it seems every game I get the heroes that I only want 1 or 2 of (defender, assassin, warrior) and never what I want (governers) I end up devouring my later heroes for spell traits in

Oh and have fun correcting my grammer mistakes. I got so bored in English class that I always used it to work out programming problems that my written communication is horrid.

I don't honestly know why I'm posting on this forum but people seem pretty cool here. Anyways. Story time. I grew up always wanting to become a game programmer. I spent most of middle/high school reading books on programming. Then one day I found out that a little program called QBASIC (I prob dated myself with this) which was bundled with every version of DOS. So I taught myself QBASIC and loved it. I'm like one of those really nerdy kids that was so excited once I

This is my wishlist for future updates: 1) Rework diplomancy system Tech trading is one of the best methods of handling it I've seen in these type of games keep that Gildar being able to buy pretty much every thing needs to be looked. I can see buying horses, wargs, research straight up. But not friendship. But for example the last game I gave each side tribute. Within a couple turns I proposed an alliance and they wanted to give me money to approve it. Ha

Most of the changes in legendary heroes is what the title hints at. Heroes were completely reworked. Also encumberance is gone (good riddence), horses actually have a cost other then the horse resource (now there is a point for foot units), and prestige is gone in favor of a new population system. It might be just me but I want all units to require pop like WOM and have your armies lock out the pop from other purposes...at least I think thats how it worked. I'm excited for the future of t

[quote who="happybjorn" reply="4" id="3372060"] It is a common practice. There are more reasons to do this when the game is for a console that hasn't released yet. It could be the case that demoing the game on a PC is the only option. The few dev kits the developer has can't be used for demos at E3 (and they would be foolish do so even if they could). It could be the same for test kits or retail boxes, if they even have any. First partie

The manual is actually the previous expansions manual with a few obvious changes (fame). Because of this there is a fair amount of incorrect information. I might do a post on the errata later. Very busy getting married right now. Anyways, check out the tutorials and such but the best way to learn this game is just tinker with it. After a few games check out some of the lets plays if you think you need more help.

If you want some gameplay advice look up Maddjinn's videos on youtube. He covers both beginner and advanced strategies and explains the logic behind them. Also Das published a how to series for Fallen Enchantress. Most of the information from that should be still valid.

Maul isn't overpowered they gave Bears EPIC horns to balance. Just Maul still is scary as hell but it kinda makes combat exciting as your at the edge of your seat praying one maul will miss you.
