I finally got it to start downloading and it is sloooooooow. I guess a lot of others are downloading at the same time? I have a 10MPS connection and it has taken 20 minutes to download 2MB. Uhg. At least it should be done by the time I get back from work.
I'm having a similar problem in the campagn. The first half-dozen turns work fine, then suddenly I am billions of BC in debt. What's more, while the tech window says that I will research a tech never, I am able to research one or two techs a turn. With no money! I actually researched the entire tech tree while being billions of BC in debt. I still lost, even though I gave all the tech to my allies. It's hard to win when you can't build ships.
