Yup, I'm playing 1.31 -- but, again, not on a particularly rugged AI setting. I kept expecting my influence bases to come under fire, but nope! I wonder if this is also a function of the very small map? I only "needed" one central star base to give me enough range to set up trade routes with everyone. p.

I just finished my first game and won with an Influence victory as well. In my case, the AI was set to easy -- whatever the default first-game intelligence is -- and I set up a single influence base in the home systems of all the other races. I then built constructor ships like mad and chased down yellow tech. Every turn I could afford, I'd outright buy constructor ships and race them back to the Influence bases and upgrade the bases as fast as I could afford. Won the game in under 2 hours on a

Running the game perfectly well until I downloaded the bonus pack from Stardock. Now, the stars are rendering several times their proper size, completely filling all surrounding parsecs. I can barely see the white of the various planet/anomaly/resource icons, and the blue of the various ships. Everything else in the game seems to be rendering okay. Is there a way to uninstall the bonus pack? Do I need to start the install over again from scratch and just not do the bonus pack stuff? Bet
