i liked using my race a lot (i'm finding the Altarians to be pretty cool- except for their logistical ability which really hampers my ability to wage war) but still very difficult settings- mostly from the complete lack of planets to colonize. @AC: lol, if you were to look far enough back in the ToE thread (i believe) or even searched the forums enough, you'll find a lil post by me, stating that all my structures disappeared from my build list. in actuality, i did exactly what DA said, i hit the "Old Buildings" tab by accident one time. just go back in and hit the New Structures tab, and you'll be all set above all else, dont throw your monitor out the window

Also.... I have made the unilateral decision to open up the Vice Commissioner position for nominations. There are a few reasons for this. 1) When I was going to step down last month, we had a shortfall of nominations and in the end some raw nerves after some bad communication got in the way- eventually it was handled by me retaining the Commissionership, but obviously, it could have been mitigated with an active VC at the time, and unfortunately, FB is also out for the summer. 2)

actually KP, Jeff is right....Mumble, Jeff, and Fire (then under a different name), were all "founding" members of the Crusaders and stayed that way until the end of Round 3, which was then followed by the very first MVL Draft. I was also on the Crusaders for one round, Round 3.

Well i heard from Nocti- he's a bit busy but he hopes to get a game in. I know that e-stab is working on a game, and IIRC posted over at the Core forums. TGE usually appears about midway through a round. haven't heard anything from Davabled, so I don't know anything there. And finally, Defcon just posted his issues, but hopefully that can be resolved soon.

In reality the Difficulty rating is given as a basic standard for us (ie the Admin and Scorekeepers) to help maintain a level playing field for all players (ie a veteran Suicidal-level Player not "playing down" at Crippling for an easier win) That being said, we have had in the past, situations arise where a person's stated difficulty level was out of sync of their actual playing ability.
